1. We don't have all the information

Firstly, my condolences to the families of the deceased. This report does not indicate at what time of day or night this incident occurred. No one should take such a risk as to be walking on railway tracks. I can't think of anything more dangerous. No train driver would dream of colliding with a human being, and , if visibility was poor I don't doubt that he would think that he'd hit an animal. Unless all railway lines in the country are completely fenced off so that no on can enter the track area (probably impractical), I don't see a solution to the problem. Anyone walking on the tracks does so at his own risk.

Their deaths are a tragedy but they paid the price of their stupidity.

4. "Off the rails?"

Two idiots who forfeited their lives for what? "After partying" gives it away: drunk? drugs? A dare? Or just "for fun?" Whichever way, a waste of two young lives.
5. You can't buy common sense!

Sad and a tragedy and a disaster for their families. A train driver cannot break in time if someone on something is on the track and the train is traveling at high speed. Severe breaking can also cause a derailment and injuries to the passengers! Can you imagine what he is going through? I wonder if anyone checked the blood alcohol levels. This would explain a lot!
