The point Bibi was making was that the Iranian people weren't free under this regime. The fact that they can only ridicule him on twitter by bypassing the country's restrictions, proves him exactly right. Also, he said that Iranians 'can't wear jeans, listen to Western music and participate in free elections'. They may prove him wrong on the first two, but no Iranian can deny the third, which is undoubtedly the most important one. So these Iranians may laugh, in reality they know he's right on the main issue.

An Iranian director made a movie about Iran's underground music scene filmed in Iran. At the end of the movie, the musicians were arrested. I notice those showing off their jeans are not showing their faces. They may mock Netanyahu but only anonymously. Let's see what happens when they mock Khamenei or Rohani.

Have you been to Israel? Israelis are only brought up to hate people who call for their destruction and/or expulsion of Israel. But unlike the Muslims surrounding Israel who are inundated with vile antisemitic incitement from their infancy, Israelis have absolutely nothing against the simple Iranian people. Just last year there was a very popular facebook group formed by Israelis, called something like "Israelis and Iranians refuse to be enemies".

Israelis are not educated to hate Iranians. However, we do know very little about the Iranian people. We get plenty of news about the leaders because they are the ones with the big mouths talking alot about how horrible Israel is. They get a lot of our hate. The Iranian people do not. There are a lot of Iranian Jews in Israel, I always find them to be very pleasant, so if the rest of Iranians are anything like them, I would have no problem with them at all.
