As a secular Jewish woman I must disagree with you. A person that turns away from religion because of a single individual is doing themselves a disservice... One is religious because one has faith - 'believes'. One is secular because one does not have faith or does not believe in the torah as the source of a superior beings rules. Belief or faith cannot and should not depend on the actions of any single individual...
