If the Iranians produce a system that is open and verifiable, then under the terms of the NPT they will be allowed to enrich Uranium with the consent of the world. there are rumours that obama might lift some sanctions on iran. it must be made clear that obama cannot lift the chapter vii unscr's on iran. those danctions can be lifted only by the council itself, with no veto from any permanent member. however, if obama does lift american sanctions on iran, it would be the biggest mistake of his presidency. it is better to have no deal than to have a bad deal. we know how diplomacy with north korea has turned out.
