2. fashion is NOT...
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (10.27.13)
... a "tool of communication". It is a clever method of marking up garments. Females are stupid enough to embrace it. That is not any reason for straight men to respect it. PS: A real woman ===sews her own=== garments; they will fit better.
3. More publicity for W.O.W. - snuck in in the guise of fashion
Real Israeli Jew   (10.29.13)
No, WOW has not, "become a mainstream in Israeli society" -- you and your "(anti-)Religious Action Committee" paid for by the Reform Movement just keep trying, though. You never tire of bringing law-suits against elderly Rabbis because of their free speech that everyone else by they are entitled to. You never tire of coming bedecked in tallitot and tefillin and then not actually praying more than a token bit and then just talking to photographers and journalists (whom YOU called and notified to come take your pictures/interviews). This is not about spirituality. This is most certainly NOT about Women's rights. What it is is a convenient and highly sympathized-with vehicle for your Reform movement's agenda: taking down all Torah Judaism and replacing it with your own brand of watered-down feel-goody cultural bagels-and-lox variety which has been the demise of American Jewry (intermarriage at, what, 90% now). You haven't any actual Jews in your constituency in America anymore??--- you have to come to Israel like an ebola virus, eating out the guts of Judaism while leaving only the shell? You will not succeed. We see right through you. You have the $$ for the PR at every turn, but Israelis are too smart to buy anything so inauthentic. It just smells like decay.
4. Terribly unattractive and unflattering clothing
Fashionista   (10.29.13)
...but I suppose if you're hell-bent on "appropriating" Hasidic men's attire, that's bound to happen. You must look frumpy or like an angry-looking German stuck in a leopard-spotted barrel with an unkempt looking shirttail emerging from the base. Well, you know -- sacrifices must be made for the cause.
5. Woman's Right
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (10.29.13)
It's a woman's right to look good -- within the boundaries of tzeniut or modesty. Saint Laurent once did a men's colletion based on the black and white of Hasidic men, what we men call the 'penguin look'. For women I prefer the Duchess of Cambridge, with a slightly longer skirt. One of her coats is styled after a hasidic boys' coat.
6. Actually

7. Brilliant and right on ...
