stomachs. Waste not want not. Way too much eating going on and way too little exercise. The people are getting fat. Ditch the car, drop the pc, push away that plate and get walking. It will save your life.

To avoid wastage and save money I go to the local supermarket 2-3 times a week get a few bits then will get some more another day. Some food does get wasted still but most gets used and its better than spending alot of money on a single trip getting more than I need. Food wastage though is not only a problem in Israel, its a problem thats growing throughout the western world which is a disposable society.

At work we have a free lunch in the canteen. I am always shocked to see how people load thei plates then eat half the food and the rest lands up in the garbage, the same at weddings. You don't need to be an economist to realize that the cost of food squandered and collecting extra trash is passed onto the comsumer.

In South Africa I was always told not to put too much on my plate, that I could always come back for more. Here I found that even on kibbutz people threw away so much from their plates and later everywhere, including celebrations, private homes. A phenomenon that bothers me to this day.

I enjoy eating at all you can eat buffet restaurants. I ALWAYS make sure I take only as much as I can eat, and I am always bothered by people (including friends) who take more food than they can eat, then leave food on the plate! Disgusting!
