Abbas has done nothing for Israel- nothing. The terrorist attacks haven't stopped, the incitement to jihad and glorification of jihad on children's TV programs hasn't stopped, the demonization of Israel in PA textbooks and schools hasn't stopped. So WHY should Israel be pressured to make this disgusting 'gesture' when it gets nothing in return? If Bibi wants to make a deal with the devil, then at least make the devil behave: all terrorism of all kinds must stop for 6 months. No rock throwing (by adults or kids), no random stabbings, no snipers killing soldiers, nothing. If that simple request cannot be met, then no more prisoners will ever be released. If Arabs want to see their families reunited, (something that will never happen to the Israeli families that buried their loved ones), then they must cease all terrorist activities. A single terrorist act will re-set the 6-month clock. That should be simple enough. Now, Mr. Netanyahu, give this simple request to Mr. Abbas. Either he will get his people to act civil, or he won't. In either case, you and the world will see what the Palestinians truly want: peace or the destruction of Israel.
