1. Goodwill
LJ ,   Canada   (10.28.13)
Israel shows its goodwill by releasing killers. The arabs show their goodwill by firing rockets from gaza
2. They served their time.
An Israeli Realist ,   Jerusalem   (10.28.13)
In most Western countries, you don't serve life for a murder. You serve 25 years to life and can have the sentence reduced for good behavior. The deal the government made really is nothing more harmful to us than if they didn't make it ... these people were due to be released anyway.
3. Israel Buckled
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (10.28.13)
Prisoner releases are counter-productive. They have absolutely no effect on terrorists. They merely scoff at us for being weak and gullible. Anyone with eyes in their head should recognize the inherent immorality and injustice in freeing murderers for no other reason than to appease an untrustworthy enemy.
4. Don't blame Bibi; Credit Kerry & Obama
tarbouche ,   aswan   (10.28.13)
with Livni and Gal-on cheering on for putting Israel in the jaws of a vice. Until that gang of deluded red leftists leave the scene, they will not cease creating havoc. I feel heartbroken for loved ones of those fallen to terror
5. Govt push Israeli ppl into corner. Despair. Utter despair

Govt push Israeli ppl into corner. Despair. Utter despair
6. #2. Premeditated murder is death penalty in US. Israel right
Adi ,   Zurich   (10.28.13)
#2. Premeditated murder is death penalty in US. Israel rightly does not impose this. They have no right to be released.
7. Prisoner Release: Israelis don't get it!
m kleg ,   pa usa   (10.28.13)
Israelis are a cliental state of the USA. But what they don't understand is times have changed. Obama is probably the best thing for what has been developing for years. It is time for Israel to either become independent or make sure the last person leaving the state turns off the lights at the airport! In the meantime Jew killers will continue to walk and more Jews will die!
8. #7 you are right
(10.28.13)
Except for Netanyahu, everyone treats Obama like a mindless simpleton, even the butcher Assad embroiled in a civil war. For some reason, Netanyahu is still eager to grab his ankles to appease Obama.
9. they served their time?!
nimrod ,   new york city   (10.28.13)
in the united states they would give them the death penalty. and in most western countires you do serve life for crimes against humanity and terrorism. so why dont you shove up your statement to the hole it came out of.
10. Why not demonstrate at Bibi's house where he could hear you?
Shaeffer ,   Jerusalem   (10.28.13)
Demonstrating at the prison gives the media nice pictures and a good story but can not change anything? I think the location was a mistake.
11. There isn't any justification to release mass murderers who
Hermon Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (10.28.13)
have been convicted in the court of law. This is a mockery of the law enforcement system, advanced by Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry, the latter being eager to advance his chances to become the next president, and we are now paying for this desire of this political figure.
12. this is a tough call;
arne ,   chicago usa   (10.28.13)
on the one hand you are giving away the "store" with the hope that what you've done will be rewarded. On the other hand, if it is not rewarded as promised, the chance for this ever happening again is terminated. As for me I would give them my 1st option and hope they will understand that the ball is in their court and they better well. Last chance!!!!!
13. bennett and lieberman should pull out
marcel   (10.28.13)
it is time to kick bibi out of office. He pulled the wool over israeli and jewish eyes long enough. He is far too weak a man to hold the pm office. He allows livni who won 6 seats, less than half of what bennett won, to run the peace talks as if livni is the PM when most israelis want nothing to do with her, kadima, olmert. They want nothing to do with her. Bibi is so weak that he allows livni to do whatever she wants. He can't say no to lapid, no to kerry, no to obama.. This is sickening! lieberman and bennet should pull their 20 mK out of office and topple the government. Bibi will run to labour and meretz who will gladly join him in a coalition but bibi will be finished;there won't be any respect for him and he will have to leave office with lapid becoming PM. israel will then be on a pathway to self destruction.
14. How about ending ministers security
Mordechai   (10.28.13)
Lets end the security guards protecting the ministers. Lets see how safe they feel walking around Israel with these terrorists free without bodyguards like the rest of us. Its easy to free terrorists knowing you have armed guards protecting you and your family 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
15. I used to respect Netanyahu
ASTRONAUT ,   SC   (10.29.13)
Bibi f@rt out your flatulent ego and start doing what is right for Eretz Yisrael.
16. No other state would tolerate this.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.29.13)
If the U.S. government freed even one terrorist and he murdered someone; the victim's family would be able to successfully sue the U.S. government for many millions of dollars. The idea of freeing MANY mass murderers would never even occur to any other leader. No other state would ever tolerate it. No other government has ever done anything so blatantly lunatic. Bibi is unfit to lead Likud or Israel.
17. Prisoner Release
Karen Sherry Bracket ,   Small Town USA   (10.29.13)
You can not "buy" peace with prisoners. Peace has to be earned. Once it is earned then the prisoners should be released if they have served their time. That said no prisoner should be held longer than 25 years for one charge of murder of one human being. If they have multiple charges then more years should apply. This one man noted has killed two people which means he should serve two consecutive life sentences. It is unjust to let him go. No one is able to give his victims their lives back in the name of peace. Likewise, no one is entitled to give the victims justice away in the name of peace. That said... war is a different field of reality and laws of the street do not apply to the laws of war. Soldiers who kill in war are following orders and serving their country and their release should be expected upon the signing of a peace treaty... but certainly not before. Who ever gives away their prisoners before even obtaining a peace treaty... has no wisdom and gives away the peace of their nation.

You are so right-Bibi has caved in.Can I get in touch with you privately?
19. To #2 An Israeli realist
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (10.29.13)
It depends on the murder. If it's a non premeditated murder 25 yrs sounds about right. If the murder is of a child, heinous premeditated or more then one person is murdered. If it's one of the above murders are committed many are executed or they not only receive life but life in mini max prisons.Where you barely have contact with anyone including the guards.
