31. UNLIMITED Judea/Samaria building NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.07.13)
Kerry has no authority whatsoever to tell Israel what to do in our more than 3,500 year old ancestral heartland. The Obama regime is ruining America. That doesn't mean we should let it ruin Israel. Demand UNLIMITED Jewish building throughout ALL of Judea and Samaria NOW!
32. So, Mr. Kerry
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.07.13)
Aren't you in the least bit troubled by illegal "United States" settlements built on stolen native American land? Israeli settlement in Judea and Samaria is fully legal. Israel did, after all, win a defensive war against Jordanian aggressors. The United States cannot make the same claim about settlement in territories which were stolen from native Americans, despite a whole host of "peace treaties" which the United States never had any intention of honoring. Then, of course, there is the whole nonsense of the so-called "Gadsden Purchase" by which the United States stole New Mexico, Arizona and most of California. Clean your house first, Mr. Kerry, before you worry about anyone else's.
33. We are under no obligation to back W. Bank settlements
Cameron ,   USA   (11.07.13)
That is your own ethnic/religious baggage at play. We think it a foolish lightning rod, and will never swing behind it. You have your formal state, and you hold all of Jerusalem. Be content.
34. You know what I begin to think?
Israeli 2   (11.07.13)
This whole peace process is virtual. None of this is actually happening. I am looking from out of my body and through my spirit. I see a roller coaster and when it stops, people will get off and nothing changed. This will continue until Messiah comes.
35. Israeli 2, messiahs and roller coasters
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.07.13)
Although I don't believe in messiahs, I imagine that it would be more appropriate for him to arrive on the Ghost Train rather than on Israeli 2's visionary roller coaster
36. US and Israel
(11.07.13)
Israel and the US should be the strongest allies. If the US had given Israel unconditional support, the situation of Israel, US and the whole Middle East would be better. The problem is that since Nixon, the American governments' attitudes to Israel were based on one or more of three concepts: the belief that Israel is too small to survive in the Middle East so is expendible (Nixon, GW Bush, Clinton), being paid by the Saudis to act against Israel (Carter, G Bush) and a visceral hatred for Jews (G Bush, Obama). Kerry is no different. He is certain Israel can't survive and as a messianic Leftist hates Jews as the source of all the worlds problems. Israel can accept Kerry's worldview and suicide, or reject Kerry, the man who had to pay $75 million for the privilege of meeting Abbas.
37. #33 Cameron vs majority of Americansu
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (11.07.13)
#33 Cameron Israeli presence along the length Jordan River, the forbidding of the establishment pal miltary, are matters that will be decided in Israel . Don't you understand that Israel has no other logical choice or don't you care? ------------------------ Mr. Cameron: Please explain when/where the Israeli GOVERNMENT has asked for an USA "OBLIGATION to back W.Bank settlements". ------------------------ Opinions such as yours, Mr. Cameron. will be disregarded , even if you are entitled to that opinion. ----------------------- Similar "opinions" are aired by: some Arabs, the BDS, anti-Israel orgs, Jew haters, Nazis, etc... The majority of USA citizens feel it is correct and even righteous to support Israeli claims on Judea and Samaria (your "W.Bank") moshe
38. Are the settlements in Israel's best interest?
Expat ,   Adelaide   (11.07.13)
Let's forget about Kerry, Obama, the EU, the UN and all those who urge Israel to stop building settlements. Let's think about Israel's interests alone: is Israel really better off with the settlements? It is true that some places are important to strengthen the Jewish population, like around Jerusalem and Kefar Sava. But how are all the remote settlements in the heart of the WB constructive to Israel's interests? The Palestinians will not go away, so the choice is either to detach from them (with proper security arrangements) and have a viable Jewish state, or to swallow them and give them full citizenship rights, which will guarantee the end of Israel as a Jewish state. The location of some of the settlements makes a territorial agreement impossible, and therefore brings Israel closer and closer to the latter option.
39. #38. "Palestinian" departure is the solution.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.07.13)
#38. There is no reason to see massive "Palestinian" presence in Judea and Samaria as permanent. You say "Palestinians will not go away". However, they very easily could. If Israel ended her massive supply of food, money, materials, medicine and electricity to her mortal "Palestinian" foes, many would quickly flee. "Palestinians" are poseurs who have no national rights on our land. Their departure is the real solution. Jordan is the most obvious destination for most of them. Let us be clear on one thing. "Palestinians" are a declining minority in our land. The argument that Israel should cede Judea and Samaria due to fears of an Arab "population bomb" is a proven hoax. Many Israeli and American studies have proven that.
40. # 39 CHAIM FOR PM!!
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (11.07.13)
Brilliant, as usual. Shalom. BUILD LIKE YOU MEAN IT!!!!
41. #38 They are indeed in Israel's best interest
A ,   Belgium   (11.07.13)
Israels coast, where most Israeli citizens and most Israeli businesses are situated is a flat plain. Judea and Samaria are hills. As anyone with a minimal amount of strategic military knowledge (I am NO expert, I promise you) will tell you...whoever holds the high ground holds the advantage. By permitting a "palestinian" state to border Netanya, Kvar Sava, Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Ashkelon, etc., than the entire coastal plain is open for attack and indefensible. Where I lived in Samaria, on a clear night I could see Tel Aviv quite clearly, and I could also see and hear the Skud rockets from Iraq. On the other side of this hilly stretch, split by the Jordan River, is Jordan, ruled by an illegal, minority Hashemite king over a "palestinian" majority. He will fall eventually, therefore permitting a hostile, corrupt "palestine" that would stretch from Iraq to the coastal plain of Israel. This cannot be allowed to happen, which is why Israel must maintain control of Judea and Samaria, up to the natural border of the Jordan River. I won't go into to the historical or religious reasons, there are others who know them much better. Hope this helps clarify things for you a little.
