1. Depends on what peace is
Kerwood Derby ,   Frostbite Falls, MN   (11.07.13)
A plank in Avigdor "Evete" Lieberman's party's platform is to disclaim your inheritance not for lentils but your continued blood letting in the land of your own name. This is the "peace" Ynet calls for isn't it?
2. What Piece? Pals Milking $ talks, No Peace

3. Da Lieberman!

Judah ,   Golan Heights   (11.07.13)
5. Real PEACE, Hiroshima, Japan and USA
Larry ,   LA   (11.07.13)
Real peace comes when both sides want it. The Palestinians have no need for it; what are they lacking? The US dropped an Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There has been real peace (respect and co-operation) between the two sides for 70 years. Sometimes it takes muscle and force to bring peace, NOT stupid concessions. Giving in to the Palestinians only gives them more of a reason NOT to seek peace. SOLUTION: Bomb the hell out of them until they cry for PEACE. Sounds far fetched? Look at the US and Japan and don't listen to the Leftist idiots.
6. There will be a two state solution
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.07.13)
Or there will be a nuclear Iran. The choice is Netanyahu's and at the moment it is tilting towards a nuclear Iran. Which Netanyahu will find acceptable and sell to the Israeli people, because his name on the PMO's door he covets more than anything else. Even the long term future of Israel (he likes ice cream to much) And yet again 500,000 settlers hold 5.5 million Israelis hostage
7. What have Pals offered to believe they want peace?
Sam ,   Canada   (11.07.13)
There is nothing concrete to indicate Palestinians want peace. There are just Jewish dreamers hoping Palestinians will change their minds enough to allow peace. From past pronouncements, Lieberman is not against a peace deal. He just has his feet on the ground and doesn't believe Palestinians want it. The problem is not Lieberman. The problem is Palestinians reject a Jewish Israel and seek any way to overturn it.
8. Hi Attila: The answer is:
Israeli 2   (11.07.13)
1) He will not be the one to foil the peace talks. If anything at all, he will strengthen it. 2)Those making peace with Arabs are those who come from a position of strenght, determination and calling a spade a spade. 3) Arabs like tough guys. There will be an immediate very lasting peace with all the Arabs today, if only a strong ruler in Israel does the following: a) He is fanatic about "greater Israel" b) He is fanatic about the Torah c) He allows freedom of religion, social freedoms, real justice for all people. Damn! I am describing myself! But I am right.
9. Leiberman coming back as PM - poetic justice.
leo ,   usa   (11.07.13)
10. Peace will come from power, not appeasement
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (11.07.13)
Lieberman is resolute, consequential and exudes power...qualities our neighbours respect and/or fear. What's wrong with that? Me say "Sod the niceties" to get the message across.
11. 6. There will never be a two state solution
Tarbouche ,   aswan   (11.07.13)
Not on your nelly; How dare you be so arrogant as to assume a 500k v :5.5m You lefties are all the same. you just do not live in the real world. I reckon you can'y cope accepting reality so you fantasise
12. Yvette will say the things Bibi can't, but would like to
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.07.13)
13. VERY WORRIED
aline ,   israel   (11.07.13)
REmember Oslo ? all those smiles, an idyllic situation and afterwards nothing!!!! We Israelis gave up land, we later withdrew from Gaza...and nothing. What is different now ? again we are going to be taken for a ride? Please listen carefully to Abu Mazen's words...I can't hear any real message of peace...
14. What will foil the peace is the
yoni the Jew ,   Jewish homeland   (11.07.13)
The arab firebomb attack two nights ago, the arab attempted attack on Modiin when they fired on soldiers who caught them last night and tried to run them over, The arab marching in praise of the Shahid in Jerusalem a few days ago, The Hamas smuggling tunnels used for long range rockets to be aimed at Tel Aviv and the list goes on and on and on...
15. Lieberman's return foil peace ? Yes,
DT ,   TA Israel   (11.07.13)
hopefully as any "peace" would be at a massive expense of Israel
16. Peace and Lieberman
(11.07.13)
Everyone knows that there will be no peace. Acting under Obama's orders, Livni's mission is to deliver Israel to destruction. The only question is whether Netanyahu will keep following Livni and Obama.
17. The History of the Conflict
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (11.07.13)
Is littered with bad decisions...ON BOTH SIDES caused by Slapdash and Hurry Remember when we negotiate NO HURRY - LESS WORRY Of course there are a mountain of issues to resolve..and untangle but out of the glare of publicity and media intrusion the Negotiators are there to guess what? NEGOTIATE With QUIET deliberation and determination Not popping their heads above the parapets from time to time Meerkat Like and prancing around in front of cameras with more stupid claims, counter claims and buy lines for a bid of kudos Just get on with it Its SEEMPLES
18. We all dream of apartment prices going down, right? Well:
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.07.13)
the solution is "Peace Agreement" with Doctor, Shoah-denier, Abu Adolf Mazen & his fellow Arab henchmen. Then just watch as everyone& his sister will start unloading property in Israel and aim for safe shores (again!) If that happens it'll be a proof that we truly never deserved a country of our own!
19. He does not change his direction to win votes. Thankfully
Adi ,   Zurich   (11.07.13)
He does not change his direction to win votes. Thankfully
20. Lieberman Likes Putin
Zechariah   (11.07.13)
Lieberman likes Putin and Putin Ruthless and Steady and able to act within a Pseudodemocracy is regarded as the most powerful person in the world .But Militarily the USA is still strides ahead. The USA technological advantage is massive .In the Military Science Computors Medicine the USA is predominant .But Russia is close .The USA and Russia are still the Predominant Superpowers Peace or a good truce will arrive slowly and the universe will be endangered by nuclear proliferation.
21. Isn't terrorism what's destroying peace?
Aviela ,   Migron RC, Israel   (11.07.13)
22. Join movement to to end phony "peace talks".
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.07.13)
Lieberman should join the ever growing movement to end phony dangerous "peace talks with Palestinians". Thousands of Israelis have been maimed and murdered by these talks and the number is growing all the time. These talks are aimed at stealing Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria from Israel and turning Israel into a 9 mile wide concentration camp. This tiny land is ours. It is way past time to end the dangerous farce of "peace talks" with our mortal "Palestinian" foes. They need to be totally defeated as the Nazis were.
23. #6. More mind rot from phony Sarah.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.07.13)
Destroying Iran's nukes has nothing to do with phony dangerous "peace talks" with "Palestinians". There is only one way to stop Iran from building nuclear bombs. For Israel to destroy them. "Palestinians" are mortal foes and need to be defeated. It is dumb leftists like you who have been holding Israel hostage and those days are ending. Both polls and elections prove the vast majority of Israel loves and appreciates liberated Judea and Samaria. Judea and Samaria belong to Israel and make Israel viable. This is obvious to any literate child who can read a map.
24. #5. Correct. Total victory creates peace.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.07.13)
#5. What worked for the WW II Allies will also work for Israel. The WW II Allies created permanent peace in Europe and Asia by inflicting total and painful defeats on the Nazis and Japanese. This is also what Israel must do to "Palestinians" to make real peace.
25. NAIEVETY !
FO ,   Belgium   (11.07.13)
For what we may consider as minor differences between Sunnism and Shi'ism, the Moslims are butchering each other! And they will make peace with a people they consider as non-believers and a cancer in their middle? So, unfortunately no chance for a real peace in a conceivable future. The solution? To get stronger and stronger, both economically and military, fight with full strength for Israel’s legal rights to prevail, and hope that one day....
26. #6 There already is a two state solution,
A ,   Belgium   (11.07.13)
it only has to be implimented: The Jewish state of Israel from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River, the arab "palestine"/Jordan confederation (if they don't kill Abdallah first) from the east bank of the Jordan River to Iraq. Transfer of ALL "palestinians" (which is most) holding Jordanian citizenship to their own "country"; one way, no return. Any other "ideas", such as those presented by the pathetic US government, are worthless.
