4. Attila, you are a good reporter. Why don't
Israeli 2   (11.11.13)
you do an opinion piece about Bibi or at least where Israel is heading. It is very hard for me to swallow that no concrete and substantiate action was taken by the PM by this time. The whole country is now on his side. What is he waiting for? Begin and Olmert did it without much ado. Bibi shouts and yells, jumps and pots and warns and warns and warns and nothing.
5. and you lie just like you did about your vietnam service

6. #1= America remains a Superpower suffering
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (11.11.13)
losses of moral compass, abysmal leadership corroding its constitution, the inner pride and drive of the people that sought the American Dream At 200 years, the culture developed out of the melting pot is sadly not resilient enough to withstand subversion
7. Playing favourites
Etienne Prinsloo ,   Nova Scotia Canada   (11.11.13)
From where Obama and the Democrats partisan support for the Shi'ites? They have squandered all the goodwill they had in the ME by making the worst possible foreign policy decisions and kicking all their Sunni allies to the curb. This has given the Russians a new lease on life in the ME which the West may yet come to regret. Vlad, the butcher of Grozny will not let this opportunity go by. Has the intellectual capital in Washington just reached an all time low or have the Democrats embarked on a much more sinister course?
8. Obama is a rarely seen coward
CJK   (11.11.13)
i have been predicting for the past four years that the little emperor saint obama will allow iran to go nuclear. this prediction was based on two simple facts: the shia terror regime would never give up its nuclear weapons program; obama will never use military force to stop the shia terror regime's nuclear weapons program. obama has spent all those years lying to pm netanyahu and doing all in his power to stop an israeli military strike on iran. as a result, obama will sign a capitulation agreement with the shia terror regime, leaving israel alone to destroy its nuclear weapons program. netanyahu must stand his ground and destroy iran's nuclear capabilities, even if it means international isolation. nothing is a greater threat to the jewish state than a nuclear armed iran.
9. Of course!!! You negotiate to avoid war.
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (11.11.13)
Israel should try it. Real negotiating. Not the fake kind where you try to give up nothing in return for complete surrender.
10. Obama's totally evil agenda.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.11.13)
The real purpose Obama's talks with Iran is not to stop Iran from building nukes. The purpose is to discourage Israel from destroying Iran's nukes. It is obvious that Obama is on Iran's side. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!

14. the real story?
tom ,   toronto, canada   (11.11.13)
the real negotiations do not take place in front of the cameras. the obama administration has learnt to avoid public embarrassments by negotiating "back room" deals, and then staging public announcements, sometimes with incredible speed. the deal with iran has already been made, selling israel down the river, and it only remains to "sell" the terms to the public. as for the sanctions, they have been so effective, the white house can hardly wait to dismantle them. why? because they do not want to see the demise of an anti-american islamist regime, even though it would be the safest and least costly way to eliminate the iranian nuclear threat, and enhance america's strategic influence in the region. go figure!
15. Our decision to make

17. To #1
Buckwheat ,   USA   (11.11.13)
You are mistaken: US is still THE superpower. However, the current US leadership doesn't want to act like one. Obama wants this country to be " normal", like Belgium or Norway. Obama still wants to justify his laughable Nobel Prize, and to do it he is willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands , if not millions, of lives.
18. @1
LJH ,   Canada   (11.11.13)
Of the many ridiculous comments written on this site....yours has to be close to the top of the list. The entire world combined may not have the military capability of the US.
19. Question
M.P. O'Loughlin ,   Maple Lake U.S.A.   (11.11.13)
How is it that with the Obama administration seemingly trying to ruin Israel and support Iran and others that American Jews vote for his party by a giant margin, 80-20 or so? I cannot understand their logic in not supporting Israel in a practical manner. Any thoughts?
20. #9 But Obama is a very poor negotiator
Tahl   (11.11.13)
There is no problem avoiding war, if negotiation and diplomacy yield results - in this case, a complete halt to Iran's nuclear efforts. But this does not happen. Under Obama's weakness and desperation, the deal with Iran would enable them to be within close reach of the bomb. We saw how effective negotiations were with North Korea. As an American, I do not understand how you can be so complacent. And whatever you wish to comment about the Israel's negotiations with the Palestinians, leave it to a more relevant article.
21. After the interview of Mr. Kerry on channel 2 in Israel, so
Hermon Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.11.13)
many of us here, in Israel, have lost all trust in the intent of the US drive to bring about an accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world, local and regional, and the liberal democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel. The drive to appease the worst Islamist forces in the region, e.g. Iran, PLO/Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, by the Appeaser-in-Chief at the Oval Office; and what appears to be the drive to push traditional US allies away from the US, e.g. Israel , Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, only places a greater question mark about us, the Jews of Israel, lowering our guards in the face of those eager to bring about Israel's demise and to "cleanse" the Jewish homeland of its Jews. I hope American Jews hear the sounds here and see the lights, and I hope they know how to translate them into an action back home, in America...!! P.S. In response to a question asked elsewhere: No, I call upon American Jews, for the sake of the MUTUAL interests of the US, America as well as the rest of humanity, should act morally and lawfully to ensure that the Appeaser-in-Chief of Islamism at the White House doesn't have his way!!

28. #19 Answer
Logic ,   Israel   (11.11.13)
My best guess is a combination of habit, ignorance, successful propoganda efforts by a faux-moderate Democratic party (including so-called "support" for Israel), and also lingering fears of domestic socio-conservative policy based on historical precedents in 19th century Europe where Jews were constantly picked on and barred from participating in society by conservative parties.
29. #9 Mark

What are you talking about? Are you describing PA positions? Please explain, what you mean with "complete surrender". Tell us at least one compromise that the Palis made for peace.
30. Israel and France should attack Iran together
forget the US   (11.11.13)
The US under Obama is not the major player in the Middle East anymore. France and Israel can attack together and destroy Iran's nuclear program.
