your ideas are commendable and they will work only if both sides wants peace. The problem with your empty chair idea is that if Israel attends, the Other chair(s) will be empty. You trust too much in the lies of our enemies. They only respect killing by the sword. Let them beg us to come to the table. Until then we hold the sword in Our hands,
2. Israel and her fate in the region
deborah L ,   Irvine, ca USA   (11.19.13)
Israel should not ever depend on other nations to do its bidding. Or to protect and defend, for they will not. That is based on the past history. Relationships change, allies change, friendships change. No one can speak for Israel but Israel. Israel is on her own, the international scapegoat again, and she must face her enemies directly. As for her so called friends, lets be honest, we have no friends. Business associates maybe, but friendship, that is not a reality

There is always one of the 22 of them member in the UNSC. Why shouldn't Israel be permanent then?
6. Negotiating table
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (11.19.13)
Israel--so-called--its very existence being illegitimate, has no place at any negotiating table for Middle East nations or any other countries, for that matter. That chair always will be empty. Indeed, why is that extra chair there in the first place?
7. To #8 add it to the elders of Zion protocols, skinhead.

Now get back to your drunken ways in your mothers basement.
10. Neocolonialistic Geneva conference
Ehud   (11.20.13)
For once I agree with Halevy. The old powers, none of which live in direct proximity to Iran, close a deal w/o Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel at the table. "Progressive" Europe and US behave worse than Sykes-Picot!
11. #6 If I had more consonants than vowels in my name...
Ehud   (11.20.13)
...I'd be worried about other things.
12. Efraim Halevy says so?- Must be utter nonsense, by default!
