1. The problem which only few seem to see
Mira ,   Vienna   (12.04.13)
is that US will not be left in peace by the Muslim terrorists, and especially by Shi'tes with their frightening eschatology, to "mind their own business", attacks much more gruesome than 9/11 are bound to happen soon!
2. I agree, mind your own business.
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (12.04.13)
America is our good friend and ally. They should back us up if and when we need help, but not tell us how to manage our own house. A true friend and ally would not endanger our children. A true friend and ally can give advice, but trust us to know what is best for us and the safety of our children, B"H for the Congress, or Obama, Kerry and crew would sell us out even more than they have until now. Bibi needs to tell Kerry to be a real friend, and not dictate to us so his boss can further his very dangerous, fanatical left-wing agenda. Kerry needs to be reminded that friends do not sell out friends. We need to suffer three more years of Obama, and then hopefully our friendship will return to normal. The American people will always be our friends, but Obama certainly is not.
3. Isolationism

Regrettably I think that the overall "literacy" in the US has declined particularly in the area of civics, world affairs. How many people in this country could label a map with the names of countries? How many could give a brief description of the basic economic issues plaguing the EU or even the US? Beating each other up on Black Friday in stores over a flat screen TV, likely paying with credit cards in a way that imitates the same reasons why The US economy is in shambles: buying stuff that no one can afford be it personally or nationally. Regarding our place on the foreign stage, that's why the scores are the way they are: too many Anericans lack the knowledge that our country can ill afford to pull the covers over our head and act as if we can disengage from the world. Where there is a vacuum of leadership, someone will fill it. Look at Putin. Look at how China is testing Japan (and us). That's not to say that we don't need to use our heads and purses wisely in where we get involved and when. This business with Iran is huge but Obama is incapable and inexperienced to deal with that government. Our lack of competence, a steady hand in foreign affairs and willfulness is costing us now and more so in the future. Sad to see our decline and worried about the consequences.
5. #1. Isolation
PtangPtang ,   Ecalpon, DW   (12.04.13)
I agree with you that even if the US does become more isolationist, there are always going to be some terrorists who try to attack it. (though in future perhaps a rising China can look foward to being the focal point for every nutter's greivence). However. The US did not 'mind it's buiness in Iraq' a war that cost it $2 Trillion, 4,000 dead, 12,000 wounded. The US cannot sustain that kind of losses and cannot go to war eternally. So in future either the US will become less involed or it will go bankrupt.
6. #4:Exactly Rhonda! You are being kind when describing "level

of literacy" in the US as somewhat lacking: it is abysmal! Obama couldn't have "happened" at worse time then now. Maybe it's the provincialism & limited understanding of the connections in world affairs brought the scourge of Obama Administration upon the hapless Americans right now? Make no mistake: Hussein is being aided by scores of like minded servants, it's not all HIS fault. Islam can plan the take-over of the world with relative easy mind, knowing that unless they make the mistake of attacking before the right time, the Europeans and Americans themselves will put their heads on the chopping block thinking it's a silken pillow. Seems times of Allah are upon us. Pity our children...
