1. Jews Deserved Victory
Zechariah   (12.08.13)
After the Islamists rejected the Partition plans of 1937 but worse like Turkey Ruthlessly excluded Jewish Escape from Genocide the Jews deserve victory from the Sea to the River .If the Islam and Arabs don't like they can go to Mecca and Medina or Damascas and the hezbellah to Teheran and Karbala.
2. very good, Noga
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (12.08.13)
I googled you and saw that you're apparently quite young. It's encouraging; we need more like you. Talk with left-wingers, people who think one just needs to say the word Kibush (occupation) and the then one needs no further knowledge or analysis, and try to get them to take a more balanced, accurate view. It's dangerous for our future if a lot of the people with college degrees are Kibush automatons.
3. I Disagreee regarding this - I Quote -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (12.08.13)
" But the question of “eye for an eye” seems to minimize in comparison with the value of life. A life is a life is a life, no matter how wrong one had done." ! Comment - Its written in the New testament - " With what Judgement you Judge shall be Judgen to You again and, with what Measurie You Meausure, it shall be Measured to You again. " ! This is the other side of the comandment to Love Your Neighbour as Tyself. This is true Equality - One is ones own Judge befor God. That is - what you do to your neighbour is what You do to your self. However to Judge according to this Law is the Mission of the Ruling Authorities. Arn.Sweden.
4. Indeed, peace will come when the Arabs love their children..
NL Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.08.13)
...more than they hate us, Jews!! (We ought to be a bit more precise and make this reference to the Muslim-Arabs and not to the Christian-Arabs or the Druze-Arabs who, by and large, have nothing against us, Jews, or against the liberal democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel).
5. Absolutely true
Wise Saba ,   Western Negev   (12.08.13)
6. Arafat Jaradat
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (12.08.13)
was tortured to death in your prison. What kind of treatment do you mean?
7. Phony, wrong humanitarianism at its worst.
Michael Pielet ,   Israel   (12.08.13)
This article is noble but very wrong. You treat your enemy's grandaughter only when the grandfather renounces hatred of Jews and hatred of Israel. If the grandfather cannot do that then you refuse to treat him or his family. Its that simple!
8. Where were you?
Michael Pielet ,   Israel   (12.08.13)
Arn, Sweden.Question where were you good and saintly Christians in Europe, when the German dictator and German people were torturing, starving and murdering six million Jewish children, women and men. We Jews need more than words from you Christians. We need you to condemn terror, war and murder, in your thoughts and actions.
9. White house blind spot
Sam ,   USA   (12.08.13)
The point made by this article is what Kerry and Obama seem incapable of grasping as they push their Mideast agenda. there is evil in the world and it is being taught daily in the Arab world Unfortunately, the peace agenda cannot thrive until respect is taught and part of the culture. If it is not respect of life, it must be respect of power. Kerry an Obama keep missing this reality
10. A valid point, the question is what you learn from it
Shachar ,   Eilat   (12.08.13)
Attitudes are extremely important in making sustainable peace. Both populations need to transform generations of ingrained hatred and distrust. If both sides had wanted peace we would have had peace 65 years ago. The process of peacemaking is about changing attitudes. In this world everything changes and you need to be ready to take that opportunity when it comes. It's not about throwing your hands up in despair, it's about doing the hard work day after day until that change comes.
11. Peace is worth to be done even for one Palestinian
(12.08.13)
Would it be only one Palestinian existing peace would have to be made. Israelis always make generality our of media reports. Israelis believe that all Arabs are terrorist and all Iranians want to bomb Israel. This misbelieves are feh real threats
12. There can be no Peace -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (12.08.13)
-without a Rightous Judgement first !. Arn.Sweden.
13. So naive
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (12.08.13)
Look bottom line, we either call ourselves a democracy - and act like one. Or we don't call ourselves one, and don't. There's no point sitting there Noga and complaining about treating those who do wrong in our hospitals - they do everywhere else in the "civillised world", what other choice do we, or does the UK or the US, or anywhere else in the world that catches murderers doing crimes but to treat them in the civillised way that society strives to be. There is no other option, unless you become the one thing that you accuse your enemies of.
14. No ICC in exchange for "goodwill gesture" prisoner release
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.08.13)
15. Arabs invade Jewish land, then wonder why they are hated
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.08.13)
16. Thank you!
Noga Gur-Arieh ,   Israel   (12.08.13)
17. sigh
rm ,   Amsterdam NL   (12.08.13)
just what we need..another self-glorifying op ed that doesn't solve anything is completely oblivious to the fact that Israel has killed more of it's fair share of palestinian kids and that it insists on implying a policiy universally seen as foolish...but hey....it finds you approval in rightwingers eyes I suppose
18. #6 And 2 Israeli soldiers who mistakenly entered Ramallah
A ,   Belgium   (12.08.13)
where lynched, their bodies ripped apart by bloodthirsty arabs (who were SO proud to be filmed for television), and then tossed out the windows like garbage. A Jewish family, including 3 children, were murdered by "palestinians" while they slept. Jaradat was tortured in prison? Prison was too good a punishment for that pig!
19. That is correct, Noga...you just
Israeli 2   (12.09.13)
forgot the punch line for those who still are dizzy by your knock-out article. "We should therefore treat them as the filth that they truly are."
20. #6, Jarda, is Jaradat a relative of yours with full name?
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.09.13)
21. #17,"fair share" means you have no idea how many.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.09.13)
Is it more or less than the 20,000 children murdered in Syria in the last 2 years to whom you don't give a second thought?
22. loving your children first
tiki ,   belgium   (12.09.13)
Most Arabs love their children, so it's not about loving 'their children, but about loving the children of others or to start from a lower point....not wanting them dead! They have a long way ahead of them.
23. To Arn, Sweden, and M Pielet, Israel.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (12.10.13)
Dear Arn, I am Christian too, but I know that our churches, despite of New Testament, because of past errors and crimes, are not legitimated to "give lessons" to Jewish people. Dear Pielet, at Nazi German's times, we were not born, and after that, under a good renewal, the refered sins have been erased. With the exception of some stubborn clerics and laics, we, Christians, do support and defend Israel, today and forever. Peace is very good since honoured and secure. The right of defense is sacred.
