1. Can anyone imagine a Chief Rabbi of Israel being like him?
Sasha ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (12.11.13)
Pope Francis hasn't changed as much as he would like - he is still bound by a conservative theological establishment - but it's still unconceivable that a Chief Rabbi of Israel would have such a modern and optimistic take on religious life. Ben-Gurion made a faustian deal to give all the power to the Haredim.
2. Saint Rush is not amused.
miki ,   tampa   (12.11.13)
The Tea Party has done all they could to really infuriate the Afro-Americans, the Hispanics, the Jews, and just when they home in on their new target, the Catholics, this Liberal-Socialist-Commie-Muslim journal goes and names the Pope as Man of the Year. Please Mr. Limbaugh, there is no need for a boycott no excommunications -most of your supporters cannot decipher words of more than one syllable anyway.
3. an honour shared with one A. Hitler

4. Pope Francis I thinks atheists go to heaven and that Allah
Rivkah   (12.11.13)
is Jahovah even though Allah does not have a son like Jehovah does. Has he even read the Bible? Of course, the world would love its own. He is very likely the last Roman Catholic Pope, the False Prophet who will be thrown alive into the lake of fire when the Jewish Messiah Yahoshua returns as the Lion of Judah to deliver Israel at Armageddon!!!
5. General Al Sisi topped the votes on the poll, so HE should
(12.11.13)
be TIME's Man of the Year, not a false prophet Pope who will bring disaster the Roman Catholicism.
