A community, nation or empire is built on its principles. There are certain principles such as the respect ad defence of : Heterosexuality; Monogamy and Traditional Family, i.e. Man and Woman together raising children; that are the pegs which hold things together. Weaken, remove or fail to include these pegs and the ship of state will fall apart.
People forget that ancient Rome, Greece and Gomorrah were full of urbane, chic, "cultured", intellectually sophisticated people.
Policy must be subservient to philosophy. Unfortunately many parliaments of the world are full of philosophical halfwits. One would hope the Knesset doesn't suffer from such a malaise, but we will see...
