1. Arrogance is not modest, is it?
mea   (12.18.13)
The court should hang its head in shame.

5. Its a corrupt system, just Corrupt
JJJ   (12.18.13)
6. Disgraced? Slap on the wrist for slip of the tongue.
Golden Dome ,   Washington, USA   (12.18.13)
More like vindicated and defiant. Slap on the wrist for child predators only shames the judge, the child, and parents.
7. No tzedek among zombies. Court is the worse disgrace
Israeili Jew ,   Israel   (12.18.13)
8. Fanatical nationalists masquerading as men of Torah
Dovid ,   Los Angeles   (12.18.13)
Is this sentence any surprise? The settler cult can do as it pleases.
9. This is terrifying
No thank you ,   Jerusalem   (12.18.13)
That this person's report was considered kosher evidence simply because she wrote down every detail is terrifying. That would mean that I can be destroyed based on what someone tells in court. That's not justice; in fact that's simply evil. Furthermore, that a psychologist would decide that it was his/her god given task to be judge, jury, and executioner makes a mockery of the profession. He or she should definitely be censored for abusing his or her authority. I don't care for orthodox rabbis but I do care that all of us are equal before the law. From the beginning this case stank to high heaven.
10. Hahahaha....
Fed Up... ,   Israel   (12.18.13)
Whats the matter with Rabbis these days? They seem to have one eye fixated on the Torah with the other on the RED LIGHT DISTRICT...
11. The power of influence and money
Pawn ,   Israel   (12.18.13)
I care as do many other pawns about things that happen to Israel and children from all over the world. But as history shows, power and money will always give way to those who have it. Just remember, those who claim to act in the name of the creator will be in greater threat when they are called to answer for their actions. Life is not fair, politics are not fair, only the individual can choose to be fair. day by day. You want to change things, start with yourself. Dont just complain on ynet.
12. Earlier comment not printed. Why?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.18.13)
Because I used the subject "religious coercion"? Also compared the rabbi's sentence with the internet pedophile's sentence as did Feras, #4.
13. Same sentence as police officer...
(12.18.13)
14. Pathetic
business as usual ,   Tel Aviv   (12.18.13)
No wonder the majority of Israelis would rather cut their losses than rely on the "justice" system.
15. Flimsy Punishment Shocking adulation
Zechariah   (12.18.13)
This populist Figure and his followers who adulate him is really for the wholesome competent and ethical psychotherapists to analyse and prevent .Causes alot of disillusion in Skeptical circles .Shows how desperate people are for meaning in life .Need great versions of humanitarianism with traditional Jewish Characteristics.
16. Dovid #8
Robert Haymond ,   Teko'a, Israel   (12.18.13)
I reside in a Yishuv, wear a knitted kippa and am, as nearly as I can figure it out, a religious Zionist. You would label me a "settler". But you reside in Los Angeles and all you apparently know about us is a portion of what you read in fashionable anti-settler news articles. In other words, you are ignorant! The fact is, if such a rabbi or religious figure were known to be residing amongst us, he'd be hamstrung, turned in and thrown out. We're not pussys around here, Dovid.
17. Public service should be unrelated to his status as a Rabbi
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NYC   (12.18.13)
So long as his public service is not directly related to his religious job or with children. He should have to do some this service in a setting where he will be helping those outside his followers.
18. What happened in the car?
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (12.18.13)
If the case is not included in the indictment does that mean the student did not object to whatever happened? And If the student in the car did not object, why was it now relevant ? If he was sexually assaulting a student why woud he do it in a car in a public place for strangers to watch?
19. Religious right-wing gets away with it
Haim ,   TA   (12.19.13)
Come on the man is a pedeophile its as clear as daylight. 6 months community service? Its a joke, i wonder what young boy will be his next victim?
20. These days it seems that...
(12.19.13)
Rabbis are graduating from Amsterdam's red light district...
21. Robert #16 You're Wrong
Dovid ,   Los Angeles   (12.22.13)
Even today, after being convicted and sentenced, Elon continues to teach in various frameworks, including at Or Etzion, a hesder yeshiva headed by Rabbi Haim Druckman that receives state funding. Among his circle of supporters, Elon enjoys the sort of status reserved in secular societies for rock stars and celebrities, combined with the unshakable religious belief that as a spiritual leader, he has a unique understanding of God’s will that makes him all but infallible.
