In a great many cases, the provenance is clear. Don't you think the artwork should be restored to the families to which it belongs? Moreover, if it goes to any museum, it should go to an Israeli museum. Jewish-owned art, if no true owner can be found, belongs in the Jewish State.

|
|
The artwork should be returned to the rightful owners or their heirs. Unfortunately, many if not most, are now deceased. The artwork should go to the museum that can best showcase this work. A solution that would allow for more exposure would be a traveling exhibit.
