why would someone say 'she shoulda moved'? She did what was right - the rule of law is what differentiates us from the beasts - it is what makes us different from our enemy. It is what humanises us. Those that say 'she shoulda moved' have clearly lost the plot.

In the Afdani case, Afdani was not bound so the punishment would have been even less. All the Freund managed in doing is giving Afdani the chance to go back to his family as a hero.

There is a well-known saying in the Talmud: "He who is merciful to the cruel ends up being cruel to the merciful" By showing mercy to a cruel murderer, this well-meaning lady may have inadvertently enabled him to become, in the future, cruel to the merciful people. So far, at least 4 Jews have paid with their lives for the mercy shown to the terrorists released "as a good will gesture" in the past few months, since several of these terrorists have gone on to start terrorist cells.
