1. Instead of your sarcasms
Nick ,   Sweden   (01.08.14)
why don't you propose another land-for-peace solution that would be a lot better than Liebermann's. The way I see it, any territorial solution (if there ever is one) will be very traumatic to some of the involved inhabitants and it will be a very dangerous period of transition. Look up the parting of India to Pakistan and Bangladesh.
2. A question for Leftists
(01.08.14)
Leftists who call themselves "rational" (such as Peres, Olmert, Livni) say that it is important to ensure that Israel remains a democratic Jewish state so they advocate separating from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and Golan with violent ethnic cleansing of Jews. Fair enough, but why don't they support Lieberman? His proposal ensures Israel security, gives the Arabs more valuable land and highly-educated and rich population, costs less, will have popular support AND will ensure Israel remains a democratic Jewish state. Can someone explain this dissonance?
3. Isn't this what is proposed?
Mark ,   London   (01.08.14)
Surely moving the border doesn't necessarily change the passport any individual holds. Won't there be lots of Israelis living on Palestinian territory. Just as there will be Palestinians resident in Israel. I am sure the Pals will welcome diversity in their new state just as Israelis do.
4. arab politicians criticize Israel and want to remain Israeli
trump   (01.08.14)
It is a very strange behavior to the least ....
5. I'm left wing and have no problem with Lieberman's proposal
Shachar ,   Eilat   (01.08.14)
It would be extremely beneficial for the new Pal state to get a strong, well established population that could set the tone for a new-look Palestine. The residents themselves should be demanding to be part of the new state, they are Palestinians! It's their homeland! Settlers should also be given the option of remaining in their homes as citizens of the Palestinian state. And there shouldn't be a Palestinian state until this is possible....
6. The strangest thing...
Gita ,   Ein Harod   (01.08.14)
The strangest thing is why the Palestinians are not running to live in and be the first to help building the new Palestinian state. They are fighting for something they don't want to touch???
7. Liberman Non Persona Grata
Miri ,   Holon   (01.08.14)
Great idea transfer Liberman back to Moldavia im sure he could always get a job as a night club bouncer, which after all is his proffession.
8. Lieberman has a point
Gary ,   Cape town   (01.08.14)
I may be missi something but Lievbermans suggestion was not about uprooting anyone, rather simply moving a border and leaving people in their homes. I cannot see why it is acceptable that Jews be forcibly removed from their homes to accommodate a Palestinian state and not acceptable for Israeli Arabs who are Palestinian and complain everyday of the humiliation of being under Israeli control to keep Israeli citizenship, remain in their homes and be ruled by Palestinians ... Is this not what the fight is all about ? Sounds like Lieberman has a point. Perhaps the only one with a point.

zionist forever   (01.08.14)
The palestinians want to have political power in Israel via their arab brothers. The arab parties in he Knesset exist solely to champion palestinian rights not sraelis so Abbas doesn't want to loose his allies in Israel also why he cannot accept Israel as a Jewish state because thats a betrayal. The arabs in Israel know they can have a much better living standard in Israel than they can the palestinians state and as dysfunctional and bad as the Israeli political system is its better than what the palestinians have. It is though the most logical solution for everybody. Arabs get to be amongst their own rather than an unwanted minority in Israel without having to give up their homeland the settlers get to keep their homes. If we could just keep the likes of Tibi & Abbas out of it then it could be done.

You seem to forget that something happened in 1967.ie there was a war with a winner and a loser. It means something you know.
11. Better lets swap you ! Long Live Lieberaman
DisfunctionalLeftist ,   Jerusalem Israel   (01.08.14)
12. Land swap
Edward ,   Israel   (01.08.14)
If Israel wan't swap these arabs populated lands now, they (the arabs) will declare independance from Israel in the future and will become a part of Palestine any way. Which means that Israel will lose even more land in the future for Palestine unless Israel swaps this lands now with them.
13. Liberman... go!!!
Joe Asfoor ,   Burke   (01.08.14)
Thank you Yigal Sarna ! People like Lieberman give a bad name to humanity!
14. Lieberman
Elie ,   Canada   (01.08.14)
Why is everybody so upset. He might tough but he says out loud what we all think.most Arabs in that area refuse to serve in the IDF, demonstrate against Israel , in Israel and overseas, are pushing for the boycot of Israel everywhere they can, advise the PA( Mr Tibi), want to take Israel to the ICC... so why in G.'s name should they want to stay in Israel or Israel would want to keep them ???

18. Wrong!! Give all Israeli Arabs who identify as
SG ,   Teaneck   (01.08.14)
Palestinian the ability to help build the Palestinian state. For that matter, offer any Israeli Jews who'd rather live in Yehudah and Shomron that privilege as well, though the Palestinians may have some have trouble with the idea as it contravenes their vision of their future apartheid state.
19. Jewish Palestinians, Arab Israelis, in Palestine Israel
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.08.14)
...2 States, 1 Country.
20. Lieberman
carole ,   new york usa   (01.08.14)
If Lieberman will give up his post and promise never to set foot in Israel again I will buy him a three bedroom apartment in New York. My contribution to the state of Israel
21. Saran is a bigger racist than Lieberman
Alon   (01.08.14)
Israelis will not be tolerated in Palestine so what Sarna suggests is nothing short of slaughter of propel he dislikes
22. To: No. 20
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.08.14)
Unlike you, dear, Minister Lieberman's loyalties are not for sale. Keep your "contribution." It's worth less than you, and you're already in negative numbers.
23. COMMENT TO LIBERMAN'S THOUGHTS
Robert ,   Israel   (01.08.14)
During the 1st. and 2nd W.War, many European cities changed countries from morning to evening and those who stayed had to submit themselves to the new rulers. The case in Israel is that anti Israeli Arabs who live in Israel and have Israeli citizenship. became opportunist Zionists from one moment to the other. To those who really prefer to remain in Israel, make them pay allegiance to the Israeli flag and its system The same should be demanded from every person (Jew or not) that wants to become an Israeli citizen, in order to receive all the benefits the country will give them.
24. the left needs the arab vote
avi ,   nyc   (01.08.14)
the pais cutting "I'm not Jewish Im Israeli" leftists need the arabs and african goyim to vote them in power.
25. Lieberman's proposal is 100% good!
Reuven   (01.08.14)
26. arab swap
steve ,   beer sheva israel   (01.08.14)
Arabs who support the Palestinians and are against the State of Israel swapped with settlers who support the Jews and are against the Palestinian State . Why is there a problem in this? Sounds very logical.
27. Solution: One State Greater Israel free of Arabs relocated.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.08.14)
28. Journalism? No! Just a petulant attack
Steve   (01.08.14)
In consideration of the PA agenda, forming another hostile state at Israel's doorstep, then flooding Israel with more Arab population, denying any Jewish residency within Palestinian borders while endlessly inciting against Israel (Apartheid State!), there is genius in Lieberman's proposal. It exposes Arab lies about conditions in Israel while purging a group of malcontents from the state without disrupting their homes or lives. (considerations typically not available to Jews).
29. Rabbi Kahane was right ... and democratically elected
Ziba ,   Stateless wanderer   (01.08.14)
The hypocrisy of the left is absolutely without limit. Nevertheless, Lieberman is only wrong insofar as he would transfer land instead of just the arabs living on that land.
30. LIEBERMAN IS GOOD FOR ISRAEL
Ross Gallen ,   Henderson, USA   (01.08.14)
Lieberman has the far view of what is good for Israel and has floated a rational concept that will provide greater internal security for Israel than now exists. The indigenous Arab population identifies itself as Palestinian and not Israeli. That is a fact that cannot be disputed. They elect members to the Knesset who actively campaign against Israel in the International Forum, and who actively urge foreign universities and businesses to divest their investment in Israel. The Arabs trample the rules of free speech by encouraging incitement against Israel as a Jewish country. They refuse to serve in the IDF and very, very few do any kind of national service. In short they regard their national identity as Palestinian and not Israeli. Lieberman verbally expressed what most people think in their heads, and are afraid to say. It is easy to tar him by saying he is an extremist in the image of Kahane, but that is a broad brush that accomplishes nothing. Lieberman is a nationalist who recognizes the needs of the Jewish people to be secure in their homeland. He is not a leftist who is always striving to sound politically correct. To say he should return to his birth country is the height of left wing political hypocrisy.
