3. Also Mercca option needs to be looked into
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.09.14)
Muslim Arabs will not stop their millennium long terror campaign against Infidels and in particular Jews unless there is a significant obstacle separating the two sides. Settling Arabs across the Jordan river just a few miles for the Infidel Zionist State will not cut it. There needs to be a great distance of hundreds of miles apart that Arabs squatting in Judea, Samaria, Gaza, Transjordan and Israel proper must be repatriated to and Mecca their homeland is the most appropriate location for this.
4. Judea/Samaria are ours. Period.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.09.14)
We don't need Jordan's agreement or anyone else's. Just as America doesn't need anyone to agree to its ownership of New York State.
5. Jordan gave up West Bank to Israel in 1988, a brilliant move
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.09.14)
6. Three-state solution
Y ,   N   (01.09.14)
New borders between Israel Egypt and Jordan is the only solution. Say NO to "palestine"!!!!!!!!!
7. Khartoum
Mark ,   London, UK   (01.09.14)
But wasn't any such agreement blocked by the Arab League in Khartoum when they rejected any recognition or negotiation with Israel?
8. NO 1967 BORDER!
àhmed   (01.09.14)
Why you call it 1967 border when even they arabs dont wanted to call it borders in 1967???It is a ceasefire line, not more! Also you can´t have a border with a no mans land. There was no state did you forget?
9. Palestinian don't want peace, period.
Ari ,   Montreal - Canada   (01.09.14)
What the autor of this article has forgotten is that most of the palestinian don't want peace, they just want to exterminate the State of Israel and replace it with a palestinian state. So, no matter what you give them, it won't be enough. And Jordan King won't be there for ever, one Jordan will have another "Arab Spring" and Israel will have that they another Egypt.
10. In 1967 Israel recaptured its own land, nott Arab's land.
Ray ,   U.S.A.   (01.09.14)
Israel has been the owner of the West Bank and Gaza since 1922. See Mandate for Palestine, which is the only law of the land, and a binding irrevocable international law.
11. Why not an agreement with -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (01.09.14)
- HASHEM ?. Isaiah 54 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 54 “Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear! Break forth into singing and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” saith the Lord. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations; spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes. Comment - There are many Millions of Jews who will come home to the Promised Land of their forefathers. That time is wery near. Arn.
12. #5 Indeed it was, Benazzi
A ,   Belgium   (01.09.14)
By "giving up" (meaning, returning land won and than lost in wars that Jordan helped initiate against Israel), Jordan also "gave up" any say in the future of Judea and Samaria. Smart move indeed, it would not have looked very good on on King Husseins resume if he would have killed a few tens of thousands more "palestinians", as obviously, no arabs want these "people" in their countries. What they should expect is an influx of repatriated Jordanian squatters returning to their homeland.
13. Only way to peace : Annex & repatriate
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.09.14)
14. Lapse of memory?
Naftush ,   Israel   (01.09.14)
The author implies that an agreement could have been concluded with Jordan in 1967 and that it would have been much more advantageous to Israel than what's available today. In fact, I believe Israel offered such an agreement and was firmly rebuffed under the infamous "three no's" of Khartoum.
15. Jordan is interested in its own internal security
On the Balcony   (01.09.14)
and likely will welcome the opportunity to get rid of it's resident refugees and any other "Palestinian troublemakers" by repatriating them to the new state of Palestine. The legitimacy --and continuity--of Jordan's exiting government is an open question --which makes the viability of any new agreement with Jordan equally questionable.
16. Demilitarization of Sinai? For how long? And then?
SG ,   Teaneck   (01.09.14)
Same thing applies to Yehudah and Shomron; only worse given its strategic importance. The Hussein family has been holding on to Jordan by the skin of their teeth. What do propose if and when Al Qaeda, or Hezbollah, or the IRGC depose Hussein and move up the front to the Jordan River? Shallow thinking will get you no where. Worse still; it'll get you dead.
17. ...the elephant in the room...
nadav ,   tlv   (01.09.14)
EVERYONE knows that the ONLY just, lasting solution to the conflict is Jordan being turned into a democratic republic that incorporates the West Bank, the population centers of which would be divided with Israel. THAT is the elusive peace we are all pursuing! Trying to preserve old colonial-invented states like Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Libya etc is waste of time that is causing needless suffering all because the West is too timid whilst Russia and China want to preserve their crony autocratic vassals. In short, Jordan=Palestine!
18. Interesting? Jordan was never an "option"

It's only been 10 days since 2014 began, and I've already read the most ridiculous thing of the year: Your comment.
20. #19 Wait until you see Kerry's "peace proposal"!
A ,   Belgium   (01.10.14)
21. Jordan option still there
Marc V ,   Fort Lauderdale, FL   (01.11.14)
If the PLO does not get serious in the current peace talks and they fail, Israel must be ready to impose its own solution: Annex most of Areas B and C. Provide contiguous land corridors for Area A to link to Jordan. Eventually the PLO run Area A will need to join with Jordan to be a viable state.
22. the actual "Jordan Option" is....
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (01.11.14)
... a few well -placed cluster bombs on the Palace in Amman. The Palestinians will do the rest of the work. We have a treaty with a country, not the Hashemite family. THEY are the occupiers who are blocking the road to a true 2-state solution. If they had any brains, they would expatriate themselves NOW to South San Francisco - they can be the Royal Family of the Jordanian-American Association. There's a nice little storefront hq on the main downtown street there.
