Yes he was a great general, but a lousy politician whose legacy will be that he gave Gaza back to terrorists.
The Gaza withdrawal will define his legacy, one of absolute failure.

1- There should have been a national day with no work so everyone could pay they respects. Bibi should have done this, but did not.
2- Most Israelis are very selfish. They worship the might shekel, so taking a day off work or business to honor a hero does not even come into their minds.
