rabin and sharon for sure promoted change yes. israel conceded and 3000 israelis werekilled or were maimed. More israelis will be killed and maimed if west bank is handed over. So let us be frank. On current leaders like bibi- he I agree is gutless to the bone though he means well. Olmert was the weakest most cowardly leader that diskin liked cause he went for peace. and the south got rocketed 10000 times and was paralysed. Lets face facts. Diskin, brom and ther other generals were lousy as soldiers and israel doesn't need them. Yaalon and sharon were responsbilbel for smashing west bank terror when your hero do nothing barak did nothing. Bibi is gutless , lieberman is a chemelon that is like livni, he doesnt understand borders only to hurl abuse at arabs, livni isdumb as a doorkknob. Israel cannot rely on the US troops or general allen whose formula is stupid and dumb and yaalon was correct in rejecting broadcast by that louse shiffer. So I say to diskin, go jump off a cliff with your worthless comments.

your commentary's full of holes--First--Bibi's not weak--he's a very strong leader who will not put Israel in harms way--Second--Rabin was weak--Oslo was the biggest mistake ever put upon Israel--He also was way over-rated as a General, he had a panic attack before the 67 war.Sharon, was the greatest and it's unfair to try and compare Bibi with him, but don't sell him short--as of now there is no better leader.

Israel needs great leadership now as Bibi seems not to fill that criteria. Lots of speeches little action on his country's behalf.
5. DISKIN'S EULOGY !
FO ,   Belgium   (01.16.14)
Diskin's eulogy: "These are two leaders (Rabin and Sharon) who knew that by making the decision they made (Oslo Accords and the Gaza pullout).... and the rest that follows is empty rhetoric. In an interview to the Belgian TV, Rabin said: "The so-called PLO will never be part for negotiations. It does not mean that Israel does not see that there is a Palestinian issue. We believe that the Palestinian issue can and should be solved in a context of peace that will be negotiated between Israel and Jordan. With Jordan we have got borders, south of the Dead Sea, till the Gulf of Aqaba, north of the West Bank, along the Beit Shean Valley and the Jordan Valley. Therefore, in a solution, a peace solution between Jordan and Israel, I believe that the Palestinian issue can be solved in a way that the Palestinians will find their right to express their special identity, but it will never be through the so- called PLO or through a third independent state. Because a third independent state between Jordan and Israel cannot solve the Palestinian issue, and will serve as a time bomb against Jordan as well as against Israel". Amazing isn't it? So what happened? Who pushed Rabin in his back to sign the Oslo Accords? Should I name him? Don't tell me that Mr. Diskin is unaware about all this! And the Gaza pullout by Sharon? Was it to improve Israel's security or was it as it was told, to avoid the treat of a trial instigated by the Left? I suppose that concerning this matter Mr. Diskin knows a lot more than we do! So let's stop taking the public for a bunch of fools!
