1. Demilitarization is realistic
Daniel   (01.22.14)
Demilitarization is both realistic and desirable. A Palestinian police force with normal police weapons, sure, but not a Palestinian army. Then again, if Israel insists on no right of return, holding on to Jerusalem AND holding on to the Jordan valley, then there will never be peace, only an eventual binational non-Jewish state. Saying no to the right of return for Palestinians is necessary to preserve Israel. For Jerusalem, both sides have to compromise a bit, but there cannot be a full return to 67. But the Jordan valley is gone, it's not important strategically and we cannot get it without giving up something far more important, be it territory elsewhere or the Jewish character of Israel.
2. Demand UNLIMITED Judea/Samaria building NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.22.14)
The way to stop "Palestinian" attacks is the same way the Allies stopped Nazi attacks. Total resounding Israeli victory. No more lunatic infallibly wrong leftist Oslos, Disengagements and B.S.
3. Hold your ground pals own nothing but terror
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (01.22.14)

I am not sure you will be asked eventually.....
6. Jordan Valley is vital to Israel's security
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (01.22.14)
Well,if the fear is that missiles coming in from the east are now the greatest threat to Israel it would seem to me that the further east that Israel can place its anti-missile defences the better. That means in the Jordan Valley. As for Eriqat's wish to have more than Kalashnikovs and small arms,I very much doubt that the Arab terrorists in uniforms will use them to defend Israel.Yes,they will do more with them than police the streets;they'll use them to kill Israelis. Israel can only be secure next to a Palestinian Arab state if that state is demilitarized and Israel retains the Jordan Valley. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
7. Jordan Valley is direct link to the entire Middle East
C   (01.22.14)
israel must maintain direct control of the jordan valley. the jordan valley is a direct link to all muslim states in the middle east, including iraq and iran, saudi arabia and of course jordan and syria. those who want israel to commit suicide should be told to take a hike.
8. Peace deal !?
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (01.22.14)
Netanyahu is right...Kerry may present dozens of "framework plans", but none are going to work...Israel should never give up the Jordan Valley for any "Peace deal"...Such concessions, have always been perceived as a sign of weakness by our "adversaries"/enemies...Deals may be made and signed, but have never brought peace...We have a cold and dangerous truce with Egypt, keeping IDF in a constant alert.. Only a strong and consistent IDF presence in the Jordan Valley and massive border control, can secure the safety of our sovereign land and citizens of Israel and All Jews around the world, for that matter...Any agreement, that does not include a full recognition of Israel as the Nation State of the Jewish People by the Jordan and Egypt refugees, who call themselves a Palestinian Nation, will be irrelevant and worthless..
9. Peace Deal Won't Stop Terrorist Attacks
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (01.22.14)
The PA says that only a "peace deal" can stop the terrorist attacks on Israel, but it will have the opposite result. It will facilitate them. As experienced in Gaza, when "truces" called for a stop to violence, it only stopped those who were amenable to stopping. Attacks by others continued. And, a "peace deal" with the PA means nothing to Hamas or Hizbollah, or to Al Queda or Iran. Israel's military presence in the West Bank serves as a barrier to attacks from many sources, of which the PA is only one. Reduction in Israel's military presence in the West Bank might possibly have a beneficial effect in regard to attacks by some wings of the PA, but it will only facilitate attacks by any and all of the other Muslim groups who have sworn to destroy Israel. Those who contend that the PA will police the West Bank and prevent attacks are fantasizing. The PA doesn't have the rockets and resources that Hizbollah and Hamas has. The reason that it doesn't is the Israeli military presence in the West Bank. Reduction in the Israeli military presence will translate into increased attacks on Israel.
10. Say no to Arabs anywhere in Middle East, but Mecca homeland
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.22.14)
11. #2 - Chaim
yosef, phd ,   florida - israel   (01.22.14)
Right on - Yishar Koach. THE moment of truth is nearing for the mostly spineless, cowardly government of Israel. There IS NO more territories to give - in exchange for anything. Only an absolute, naive moron would trust Kerry, even with a ten foot pole. His interest is strictly vainglorious, abysmally ignorant selfish quest for a by now ridiculously politicized Nobel Peace price.
12. General Wasef Eriqat, in his example...
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (01.22.14)
..didn't mention the Palestinians cheering as the Scuds flew over them. The Jordan Valley for "a hudna'? Not a good deal The PA can't prevent other factions present or yet to be formed from honouring a peace deal. We've seen it all before. Let the world boycott..in the past it only made us stronger. The new word should be sustainability anyway...not profit, profit, profit
13. Settler attacks on US GIs will turn Americans against Israel
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.22.14)
14. “No Israeli military presence means no problems,”
Corey ,   Canada   (01.22.14)
Yeah, no problems for Palestinian and Al Queda terrorists. The guys says the Pals can't be demilitarized because then they couldn't do their job of protecting the border. The point is, they can't be trusted to protect Israel's border, and it's Israel herself that needs to do it. I hope Israel stands firm on this one.
15. All the Jews and Christians have to stand for...
Ben David ,   Jerusalem   (01.22.14)
are the gospels and Laws of their Lord. What do the gospels and Laws say? Do they have to be written again or just explained? When all else fails, go back to "the (Holy) book. What about possession of the land Torah scholars?
16. peace
larry ,   Israel   (01.22.14)
How can anyone think of peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. when the Palestinians and the Palestinians don't have peace between their own factions???
17. peace #2
larry ,   Israel   (01.22.14)
let the Palestinians.fatah, made peace with the Palestinians hamas, (first)'!!!
18. Syria 2.0
Shmuel. L. Jackson ,   London UK   (01.22.14)
A WB state, and control of the jordan river/valley will allow millions of refugees into the WB, and willbe a mecca for islamic jihadists to take the war to Jerusalem, Jafa and haifa. The al qaeda and hizbolla groups will flock there, and overrun the PLO, as will hamas. Peace with Lebanon in 1982 lasted a few days. PLO in Gaza lasted a few days after withdrawal. same will happen in WB.
19. no. 13 - this is what Muslims do, you are out of your mind
(01.22.14)
20. palestinians unreliable as usual
mark   (01.22.14)
Its not a presence as bibi weakly asserts, its as rabin said, soveriengty over the jordan valley period.
21. Oslo was TREASON !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.22.14)
22. Kerry and Obama will be done with the midterms,
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.22.14)
Israel will stand STRONG ! The talks are just GARBAGE !
23. They do not agree to Israeli presence in Tel Aviv, Haifa,Net
Netanya ,   Netanya   (01.23.14)
Netanya, Beer Sheva or anywhere in the world, so the title is rather repetitive. Or have they agreed to let the Jews have an inch of land of their own? If so, I haven't heard it, but there is a new video by palwatch showing the jihad commercial for Fatah to burn Tel Aviv.
24. Correct me if I'm wrong ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.23.14)
.... but I don't recall anyone asking whether the "Palestinians" agreed to an Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley. That's not even a subject for discussion. But let us review. The "Palestinians" refuse to recognize the State of Israel. They refuse to recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish State. They refuse to give up a so-called "right of return" (not to Judea and Samaria, mind you, but to Haifa, Jaffa, and other parts of Israel proper). They refuse to entertain any agreement that does not cede East Jerusalem to them as their "capital." So, there's an awful lot of "Palestinian" rejections and refusal. Exactly what is it they have agreed to? Besides the release of some of the worst criminals in history, that is?
25. To: Chris at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.23.14)
Not so much treason as an expression by the State of Israel of its strong desire for peace. Israel's not at fault here. The "Palestinians" are. They have broken each and every protocol which emerged from Oslo on numerous occasions. Peace with them is not possible, and it is time to stop beating a dead horse.
