1. I would go to Brisbane ...
Devorah   (01.23.14)
to see if Lydia really lives in a kennel in the backyard.
2. Now that was interesting
Cameron ,   USA   (01.23.14)
The preference for Turkish Airlines did surprise.
3. 10.
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.24.14)
Lol, you are hilarious.
4. Too much money too little brains...
Al   (01.24.14)
Like the uppity schnorrers you have become, you want to piss your money away amongst those who wouldn't give you the time of day. Witness the fact that Israel is doing well, nonetheless you are still schnorrers. Spend your money in Israel. You have a beautiful country only you don't appreciate it very much.
5. Turkish Airlines is a very good airline
Non Jewish Immigrant ,   Haifa   (01.24.14)
I fly them quiet a lot. Flew them a week ago to France. They're really good and have nice connecting times. There is between 5 and 8 daily flights from TLV to Istanbul which allows a wide variety of destinations all over the world. Very good service on board and very nice crew members. They flight the TLV/IST/TLV route on A321S or A330 with private touch screen
6. Why Cameron. Jordanian Airlines is also popular
mea   (01.24.14)
It's always a big surprise to Americans to learn that Israelis are not rabid, frothing anti-Arab haters like xtian fundys in their country. Sure some do but overall the difference is vast. Americans are so polarized they immediately size up "which side you're on" politically and even families divide over politics. It is refreshing to see most Israelis separate politics out of social settings and families, friends and acquaintances set it aside. Israelis go to Turkey to vacation. They fly on Arab airlines. An American in Israel won't ride in an Arab taxi.
7. The New York favorite destination may reflect relatives who
Rivkah   (01.24.14)
live there to visit. It is also a safer place for Jews to go to be among other Jews. Dallas and Miami have a lot of Jews, too, but the aliyah people may be mostly from NYC.
8. 1 Devorah: It is always a delight to read your posts.
Rivkah   (01.24.14)
9. 2.
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.24.14)
I'd rather swim out of Israel than fly Turkish Airlines!
10. Al @# 4
Gruenman ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (01.24.14)
Why Al you sound a little jealous.
11. #9 Its a great airline, I used them last month from TLV
liat   (01.25.14)
Excellent flight, new plane, great customer service, I expected it would be the same as an Israeli airline and all balagan and shoddy service and I was mistaken. I would use them again.
12. To Birdi and Rivkah - Update
Devorah   (01.24.14)
I just returned from Brisbane where I discovered that Lydia is actually tied to a tree in the backyard and wears a muzzle which is kind of sad because she slobbers a lot. She reminded me of Hannibal Lecter. When I arrived, it was heartbreaking to see her trying to gnaw the bark off the tree what with wearing a muzzle and all. Being the compassionate person that I am, I tossed her some of Israel's finest chocolates. She sat on them and then scooted in circles on her butt. I believe Lydia's problems require deeper investigation and analysis.
13. #10 Al is some old guy in Canada who never lived in Israel
Sexy Jack   (01.25.14)
he is all talk, come and live here for a while Al and then you can comment.
14. Israelis who have never left Israel are clueless
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.24.14)
when it comes to traveling abroad. Toronto is way nicer than New York! And in Europe, if you have never been to Amsterdam, Zurich, Vienna or Copenhagen you are missing something in your life. All those cities are nicer than London and Barcelona.
