The deporations started before the Arrow Cross party. My greatfather was deported in 1944 June. Also many Hungarian nazis were camp guards...more than 4000 at Bergen Belsen. Hungarian historians stil do not teach about it... if Viktor Orban is frien of the Jews, why does not he stop the far right extremists?

It wasnt just the Nazis of course but Hungarian Nationalists aka Nyilas Party aka Arrow Cross. They rounded up Jews for their own labour camps. My late father and uncles all had to report well before the Nazis came in. Munka Tabor it was called. Im not sure from when it was instituted but well before the deportations to Auschwitz beginning May 1944. Only my father returned, my uncles Ignatz and Volvi both perished there. My grandparents, all the other family members and Jews from Kecskemet all later murdered at Auschwitz. If your going to apologise at least make it quite clear as to ALL your crimes, not just complicity with the Nazis. I am due back in Hungary May 2014 for further research.
