Assad will agree to the humanitarian aid to Homs but thats about it. He doesn't want to start releasing rebels who will take up arms again. If anybody is seriously expectng these talks to lead to something then they are dreaming. Even as they talk both sides are killing each other they have not agreed to any kind of ceacefire whilst the talks go on.
