Funny how your slaves get paid more to work for Jews than they do working for their brother Muslims. Slaves getting paid for their work. You are a piece of work Lydia. You should read post # 16 though I doubt you can understand it or give it a reply that is any more intelligent than the rest of your posts.
32. Palestinians now need to make concessions
David ,   San Diego USA   (01.27.14)
In the past, it has always been Israel that has had to make concessions. Not this time. The Palestinians need to get used to the idea that they will have full control over Gaza but Israel will not let the West Bank become another launching pad for rockets and missiles. If the IDF leaves the situation in the West Bank will look like Syria or Iraq. Israel won't be leaving the West Bank. That is the reality.
33. Bibi is officially an idiot
Dan   (01.27.14)
It's now as clear as it can be that 0ur PM is living in a ridiculous and above all impossible right-wing Haredi dream. The West Bank is the price of Israeli survival, and once it is in Palestinian hands Israel has no claim on it or control of it. Bibi is basically saying there will be no deal and no peace - and, though he's too stupid to understand that he's saying this, no Israel. Get rid of this unintelligent egomaniac.
34. Peace talks going nowhere.Israel needs to prepare for after.
Sam ,   Canada   (01.27.14)
Palestinians are already preparing for what comes after the talks whether it's going to international institutions like the UN or engaging in resistance (violence). Israel needs to prepare too on how it will respond.

Do you truly mean to suggest that the Jewish people do not trace their roots back to the Holy Land? Here's a news flash: We're the Chosen People. We are the ONLY Chosen People. Don't like it? Here's another news flash: We don't care what you do and do not like. You are irrelevant.

Annex the settlement blocs, and it will no longer be the galut. Simple, really.

The problem is that the "Palestinians" have never been -- and are not now -- capable of logic or reason. Abbas has not thought this through. He clearly seems to have a notion that Israel will leave the settlement blocs standing, and the settlement industries operational, so the "Palestinians" can just slide right in. Abbas does not understand that any land which is returned to the "Palestine" Authority will be returned in the condition in which it was in 1967. The "Palestinians" will not reap the benefit of Israeli sweat equity. Too bad they only know how to destroy; not build.

You are assuming facts not in evidence. First of all, Israel is not going to uproot half a million Israelis. Secondly, Israel will annex the settlement blocs. Then they will be part of Israel, and Israeli citizens can live wherever in Israel they choose. Thirdly -- and most importantly -- Abbas has no intention of signing a peace accord with the State of Israel. That is why he makes unreasonable demands. Of course, the world is watching, and they can see that the recalcitrance is all on the part of the "Palestinians." All Abbas has done is issue demands -- evidently forgetting that he represents the vanquished, and therefore is not in a position to make demands. About anything. He cannot even bring himself to recognize the State of Israel, and the identity of the State of Israel as a Jewish State. Come to think of it, he has not a single concession. The vanquished do not set terms and conditions for anything. Push too hard, and Israel will push back. You probably won't like the outcome of that one, either.
39. Arabs in Israel...Jews in Palestine...SAME RIGHTS
Settlers for Peace   (01.29.14)
Only REAL peace and reconcilliation...Arabs are citizens of Israel, have the right to be elected to the Knesset, Supreme Court, etc. Jews must be able to be citizens and live in Palestine under the same conditions with the same rights. The UN 1947 Partition Plan assummed Jews would live in the Arab state.
40. Apartheid
Jill F ,   Hanapepe, USA   (01.29.14)
It's not apartheid if they're citizens of separate states.
