u.s federal law prohibits boycotts that implement the foreign policy of other nations or which discriminate against people based on race, religion, sex or national origin. u.s. federal law specifically makes it a criminal offense to boycott israel or persons or companise which do business with israel. scarlett is a feisty, principled woman. furthermore, she upheld u.s. law and american ethics.

An organization whose mandate purportedly includes ending world hunger ought not be in the business of alienating the State of Israel. Israel is the only country in the world with advanced desert reclamation abilities and superior water utilization skills. Israel knows how to make a little water go a very long way and Israel has made the desert bloom. Think of the hunger in drought-stricken countries; think of the rapidly encroaching desert in all those countries. Oh, and since the big flap started? SodaStream's sales are through the roof and there are strong indications that Oxfam's balance sheet is going to take a very big hit. Perhaps the "Palestinians" can pick up the slack.
