1. Europe is sinking
Leftist lies   (02.03.14)
Israel's foreign stand is better than ever. Foreign governments knocking on Israel's doors to sign Free Trade Agreements with it. Boycott? Only in some anti-Semite western European countries, such as the UK and Norway.
2. #2 denial is very comforting
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (02.03.14)
and allows you to hide from the reality of the situation. But the simple fact of the matter is the European Union can cause irreparable damage to the Israeli economy. 75% of everything Israel sells is sold with the European Union with special tariffs etc making it easier for our producers to maximise profits. Even if we did transfer what we sould in Europe to other countries it is highly unlikely that the profit margins would be so high. Sorry my settler friend, there will be no money to pay for your swimming pool and water your lawn
3. #1 You are in for a nasty shock

BDS BABY BDS!!
4. News flash

Which employees do you think will be the first -- possibly only -- ones to be terminated in the event of a boycott? Hint: Not the Jews. It would be wrong, but factories and other "settlement" industries can relocate to Israel proper. That will still leave a great many "Palestinians" unemployed, and without prospects for employment. But it's such a fun party, Israel may not stop there. With Israelis living beyond the Green Line possibly in search of employment, whom do you think are most likely to have their work permits in Israel rescinded? Hint: Not the Jews. It is amazing the lengths to which the Europeans will go to cut off their noses just to spite their faces. Let them. But they may want to think twice -- The EU is almost dead broke, and has neither the wherewithal to pay for jobs in the "Palestine" Authority nor the investment capital to create them in the first place.
5. dodgy diplomats
UR   (02.03.14)
no wonder Israel's in a mess if this is the type of diplomat representing Israel - the world's "pet children" - what the heck is that? and perhaps people remember how long Israel stayed anyone's pet after Gaza disengagement - all of two seconds. thanks, but no thanks - i don't want to be anyone's pet.
6. Number 1 - you mean Europe is stinking

7. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.03.14)
You are seriously deranged. China wants to sign a $32 billion arms deal with Israel; India wants to sign a $21 billion arms deal with Israel; Georgia wants to sign a deal worth $18 billion. Now, what was that you were saying about the importance of the European Union? And do you have any idea how quickly the EU member states will come crawling to Israel, desperate for cheap natural gas? And Israel will discount quite deeply for what will be the lion's share of the market. You have a very unhealthy fixation on swimming pools. Has anyone ever told you that Tel Aviv has some very lovely beaches? P.S. I have a home in Saviyyon and we have a pool. Eat your heart out, chica.
8. #7 - good points
William ,   Israel   (02.05.14)
and that gas line to Europe through Turkey is the next topic of discussion now that the Mavi Marmara issue is about to be completed and buried. LOVE Saviyyon. But I think Sarah B prefers the more *ahem* "interesting" places in East London. A bit more to her liking.
9. #2 - easy way to manage it
William ,   Israel   (02.05.14)
1) move operations around so EU-destined products are inside Green line and others are from settlements 2) accept a freeze of small settlements during negotiations and make that contingent on EU blocking boycotts in the interim Both are legal and both politically can work, while Israel secures larger blocs for annexation, and gets gas online for export.
10. To#3
Esther ,   Jerusalem   (02.09.14)
Small David told Gigant Goliat "I have nothing to fear because G'd is with me" We have managed for thousands of years surviving antisemites. Boycot shmoycot.
