Israel is merely asking Abbas to recognize the sovereignty of the State of Israel and its Jewish identity. Don't know why this should be so difficult. The difference being that Israel, having been victorious in six wars started by the Arabs, actually have the right to issue ultimatums. Fortunately for the State of Israel and for the Jewish people, most of us are considerably smarter than you. No one in Israel is "afraid" of peace; in fact, we would welcome it.
