1. Sounds Like a Mission for the Mossad
Ron ,   Boston, USA   (02.03.14)
Sounds like a mission for the Mossad. You don't mess with people's livelihoods without paying the price.
2. The response to BDS...
Eldar ,   Haifa   (02.03.14)
Ending civilian Jewish settlement in the West Bank was wrong since Sebastia and we should have long ceased to promote Jewish settlement there. But now we have hundreds of thousands of Israelis living there, draining our budgets, taxing our army and police and breeding "Tag Machir" hoodlums. Most of BDS is about Jewish settlement in the West Bank. End that and deal with two problems at once.
3.  BOYCOTTS WORK BOTH WAYS
ALBERTO EINSTEIN ,   SAFED GENIUS HOUSE   (02.03.14)
Kindly allow me to elaborate : If ,for example ,I ( who resides in Israel ) wish to purchase some goods to the value of $ x but the company selling the goods refuses to sell to me ,the company ,or business stands to lose $x on income received . Therefore " I will bless those who bless you ,and curse those who curse you ." This is hardly rocket science.
4. #1 MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS ,   SAFED OBVIOUS   (02.03.14)
It is time for Israel to stop playing nice because it is not working out . Rather than be bullied ,the Mossad needs to harass the BDS bastards " " which will teach them a good .painful and necessary lesson.
5. Settlements assume Humanitarian Work
Zechariah   (02.03.14)
The settlement most which will stay in exchange for a land swap with Islamic Israel or other areas ought improve their image by sharing more water with the Palestinians more and concentrate on Medical Security educational and agriculture products for the The Domestic Market and Humanitarian Aid to impoverished lands .
6. The boycot call was started by the IL left
daniel ,   TA - IL   (02.03.14)
new it bites bGU, TAU and other institutes of leftist extremism in the ass... now these creeps cry wolf. When they received blood money the left called for a boycot to defeat jews who did not agree with them... seen that before... right throughout jewish history
7. Answer to BDS
A Simple Jew ,   Maale Adumim   (02.03.14)
We can take the cost of BDS out of the hide of the PA. Economic warfare works two ways. We can impose a crushing counter boycott on the PA. We can freeze EU projects for the PA territory. We can raise the price of PA electricity. We can put tariffs on PA goods. We don't have to take it.
8. Well not totally True
Bill Stein ,   USA   (02.03.14)
Boycotts against Israel is against US law trade and boycott office has links for complaints. Even if Euroean branches of companies in the uS if they are boycotted can be proscecuted also calling for boycott against Israel is against the Law in US next time do your research
9. BDS is BS
Shmuel. L. Jackson ,   London UK   (02.03.14)
It is nothing new and will not reach a macroeconomic level. There have always been those fanatics and muslims who would boycott Israeli products in supermarkets. However, the BDS movement is just using thuggery, eg to harrass shoppers who want to buy Daed sea products for example. This could be solved, eg by selling products online. You mention Roger Waters - but he is not buying anything form Israel, he is selling his Cds and concert tickets. the irony is, a boycott of Waters would deprive him of millions of £$ . So Israel should boycott the boycotters. Also it opens new opportunities to develope new products and intellectual property that is harder or impossible to boycott, eg cancer drugs.
10. Boycott much ado about puffing
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!! ,   United States   (02.03.14)
Does anyone really think that Microsoft ( one of gobs of US companies ) will be boycotted due to their business association in Israel? LOL Get a grip, boycotts are a minor item next to Hitlers Europe. Was Moses concerned leaving Egypt and slavery about a boycott? Whatever the excuse, there's always some devil aiming for the Jews, before or after israel was reborn in 1948. It's not like it's something new. KEEP BUILDING !! IT'S WORTH IT.
11. #2, BDS, BS.
Jake   (02.03.14)
What they have as their emblem is an image of an Israeli flag and a line through it, and the words "BOYCOTT ISRAEL". Where you see "settlements" in all of that is beyond me. since you claim the settlements are a drain on Irael's resources, please provide some statistics on IDF enlistment in Judea and Samaria as compared to Tel Aviv. That would be very enlightening for a lot of people. :-))
12. It's about time
Veni-Vidi-Agati ,   USA   (02.03.14)
I've been wondering for decades why the government didn't hire a PR firm to give Israel's point of view. I hope they go forward with it. Enemies are plummeting Israel with verbal karate. It''s about time they parry these attacks and go on the offence.
13. The world gone mad
AL QUDS ALYAHUDI ,   Jerusalem Jewish   (02.03.14)
Israel should stand firm and let the Eu do whatever they want. If Israel gives up to this, surely, after few years, they will demand that Israel should give back Jaffa, Haifa, and to take back 5-6 million refugees, and if Israel do not, the world will blackmail Israel once again by boycotting. This will be the start of giving away Israel to the Arabs, and Jews will be once again without Country, only to be wanderer around the world and Europe, where we can be easily be killed.
14. @#5, Zechariah. Well What You Suggest is Good
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (02.04.14)
but it does not go far enough. How about the settlements giving back the land they stole, stop stealing water, stop throwing stones at Palestinian Christians and Moslems while illegal occupation army watches and protects them. How about they give up their Apartheid roads, walls, checkpoints, buses. How about you no longer prevent commerce between the Nation of Palestine and their neighbors which would of course end your supply of cheap semi-slave labor.
15. Response #2. Take it out on "Palestinian" hides.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.04.14)
Fictional Palestine could not last a month without the constant flow of Israeli money, food, medicine, materials and electricity. Let us immediately, permanently end this lunatic support of our mortal "Palestinian" foes.
16. bullying, extortion, blackmail are not diplomacy
C   (02.03.14)
the jewish nation has survived worse than boycotts. history will judge the boycotters as bullies, extortionists and blackmailers of the sole jewish state.
17. Response 1: Serve proof Judea/Samaria are Israel's.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.04.14)
Israel should never have acknowledged the fictional "Palestinian" claim on Judea and Samaria or any of our land. Better late than never. We have incontrovertible evidence this tiny land is ours. We can strengthen our cause greatly, encourage our friends and win many new supporters. Serve proof on the U.N., E.U., all national governments, media etc. See also response #2.
18. No 4 Mossad doesn't care
Non Jewish immigrant ,   Haifa   (02.04.14)
I financially and actively support BDS in the West Bank, Peace Now and Yesh Din. That's my right as a free resident of Israel. Your fantasies of a one way of thinking mode is passé darling. You'll never live in a fully theocratic Jewish Halachic country Just forget it
19. #7 Another idea
Logic ,   Israel   (02.03.14)
US Congress passes anti-boycotting laws against EU companies, and the latter lose access to the American market.
20. Boycott the Boycotters
Nafalit   (02.03.14)
The place to start is in israel. Identify those in Israel who support this action, for example all the +972mag people. Let all the people in their neighbourhoods know that they cooperate with our enemies and threaten their livelihood. Let's see how they feel if they are boycotted in restaurants, cinemas, and any other facility they want to use
21. Let's just listen to what Europe tells us!
Shmilfke ,   Shmilfke   (02.04.14)
If we would just do what Europe says, we wouldn't have these boycott issues! Europe has declared the formerly Jordanian land to be "illegal". So what if we won that land in a fight for our survival - in which thousands of our boys died? So what if there are thousands of years of Jewish history there? Why let these facts get in the way of good economic relations with Europe, who would love us if only we stopped building settlements?
22. If cost of living goes up, guess where i'm moving to?
ilan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (02.04.14)
I'm going to become a settler, thanks to DBS! East Jerusalem or West Bank? hmmm, decisions decisions!
23. This ends...
Yossi ,   Canada   (02.04.14)
..with a stroke of a pen... If US Congress passes a law declaring illegal all companies that boycott Israel, it ends in 24 hours and BDS goes into oblivion.. But Obama and Kerry will veto it as he hastes the Jews..Need to hold for 2 more years...
24. Dark cloud
Hmm. ,   Chicago   (02.04.14)
The BDS movement desires the end of the Jewish state. Nothing less. It's a dark cloud on the horizon. Israel needs to just keep on developing.
25. #18
Bill Stein ,   USA a   (02.04.14)
That's a laugh let me give you a few ideas on your BDS level . Heavily tax for criminalize foreign Goverment funding of NGOs prosecute leaders of these groups for espionage. Ban BDS members companies and employees from ever visiting Israel declare cyber war fair against those companies cut electricity to the pA isolate the pA further. That's just .0009 percent of things Israel can do. Ps your no more living in In Israel than John Kerry is.
26. Israel haven't heard of mark of beast?
(02.04.14)
That people must received mark of the beast to sell or buy? Read the book of Revelation in the new Testament. Isreal don't be weaken on face of the yellow star or badge to mark you again.
27. The only PR firm Israel needs is God Himself!
manicdrummer ,   Haifa, Israel   (02.04.14)
Let the world threaten Him with BDS one time and see how far they get.
28. I like #7th idea better
Barry ,   Tokyo   (02.04.14)
Your idea would simply re-enforce the narrative portraying the Israelis as the oppressors. Israel's reality must be presented better. The typically brash Sabra ballyhoo has done more damage than good.
29. to #7. You are utterly wrong
Andi ,   Israel   (02.04.14)
As a fellow Zionist, I respectfully disagree. I think we should stop preferential funding to Judea and Shomron, at least until the "peace process" has run its course. There enough "facts on the ground" for now. Increasing pressure on the Palestinians is even more stupid. Deliberately antagonising our friends is a failed tactic.
30. #27 - manicdrummer
Devorah   (02.04.14)
They already have. Stay tuned.
