1. trusted source says that the MOSSAD rescued them !
Frederic   (02.07.14)
Not the Americans...Remember USA needed the help of Canadians to rescue just 6 people (''Operation Argo'') in 1979 after the takeover of the US Embassy by islamist students (Shiite terrorists). The Mossad acted alone to save dozens of ISRAELIS who lived in Iran...''Thank to USA'' is a regular and obligated sentence for the Israeli foreign policy.

There was nothing new or revealing in the report other than what was then exchanged in the daily news.
4. shame for Israelis who lost their weapon business in Iran
Yoshua ,   N.Y   (02.07.14)
How many lives were saved thanks to the "revolution" kicking out Israeli arms dealers who contaminated Iran with dirty money and corruption ?.. supporting a ruthless monarch who enslaved his people for the sake of a small elite of his relatives and friends ?.. I urge everybody to do some history reading before commenting the same automatic banter.
5. Carter was responsible and Begin had to thank him?

7. Much was earlier related in Bergman's "Secret War with Iran"
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (02.07.14)
Much of what's told here would be familiar to readers of "The Secret War With Iran" by Israeli journalist Ronen Bergman, published a few years ago. Bergman tells a number of interesting stories, including the attempt to get four fallow deer to Israel, which succeeded, and to rescue the Royal tigers, which failed because the mobs killed them. If Israeli intelligence already suspected in 1975 the Shah's days were coming to an end, it's lucky I travelled there in 1976. Spending time with a Jewish family in Teheran around Sukkoth, and touring Esfahan and Shiraz, I got no sense of the disaster that would come years later. I did get to visit the Israeli diplomatic mission that was eventually turned over to the PLO. These cables confirm what was clear even then - that the Shah, though a "dictator", was an enlightened one, pushing reforms a decade before the oil boom, and Khomeini was a religious fanatic.
8. Yoshua #4, RE "Israeli arms dealers"
Jake   (02.12.14)
It is in large part thanks to those Israeli arms dealers (and clandestine Israeli arms supplies to Iran after the Revoluiton) that Iran was not defeated during the Iran-Iraq War. Looks like you need to do some history reading of your own.
