BUILD BABY BUILD!!!! ,   United States   (02.11.14)
clumsy and dangerous when it comes to diplomacy. Aren't we gad obama hand picked this loser? KEEP BUILDING !!!!!
2. Diplomatic BS
Anshel ,   Canada   (02.11.14)
All Secretary Kerry had to do is to condemn the boycott, if he was sincere. There shall be no need to have twist on his comments made in all places, Munich. They speak for themselves, pressure, pressure, pressurehowever, it might have backfired this time.
3. the entire obama administration should keep quiet
CJK   (02.11.14)
they have done nothing but ham, and every time they open their mouths, they make matters infinitely worse. in particular, they encourage and enable israel's enemies, who for the most part are also enemies of the united states.
4. Not acceptable from a secretary of state
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.11.14)
Kerry's remark is totally out of place for the responsible position he holds. Even if he was showing concern that was inappropriate. The message was very clear:" Act to avoid being boycotted" that in itself gives credibility to the boycott in terms of having to take that into consideration. In other words, it gives the boycott legitimacy to the point of driving our own internal policy. Regradless of Kerry's alleged sincerity, he has quite frankly lost our trust and at the least should be removed from his role here in the Middle East.
5. they do protest too much
israeli ,   israel   (02.11.14)
why do the Americans think we are deaf or stupid? We all heard what Kerry said and got his drift.
6. Either the Obama administration needs
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (02.11.14)
lessons in diplomatic speaking or as CJK talkback writes - OB admin is making matters worse - maybe inadvertently or maybe not !
7. It is well known K prefixed his boycott threats with EU
Alan ,   SA   (02.11.14)
Also he has made DEMOGRAPHIC THREATS Also threats of Third Intifadas
8. In his 30 yrs of support,he was a rep of US people. Now he
Alan ,   SA   (02.11.14)
represents his boss since appointed Sec of State by Hussein O That is why he "supported" Israel then and why now he isn't too "nice" to us
9. Kerry did not press??
John ,   Herzlia   (02.11.14)
If Kerry did not press Israel with an European boycott than why did he not in that same speech condemn that European boycott? Does he in reality agree with an European boycott or his he (the USA) not anymore in a position to influence the European countries?
10. did I just say that out loud ?!
Ovadiah ben Avraham ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.11.14)
So he was thinking out loud. Further, the State Dept. then announced that, with respect to the critical outcry over his remark, "Kerry has faced bullets in the past", so these "unwarranted" criticisms don't phase him. Unprofessional in every regard.
11. When Noah warned of an impending flood
(02.11.14)
I guess many people blasted him like the talkbackers here. Arrogance is a ticket to hell.
12. 6 barbara, it is not inadvertent
CJK   (02.11.14)
obama has been humiliating israel for the last five years, conciously. obama thinks that he can browbeat netanyahu and thereby lessen israel's standing in the world. of course, obama lacks the minimum of diplomatic speak, but that is a minor matter, all thinks considered.
13. #4 Israel, on the other hand, has lost everybody's trust
(02.11.14)
14. was, the past tense of is
i ,   jerusalem   (02.11.14)
And this sounds like the argument about what the meaning of is is. Sound familiar?
15. No, that's not what happened
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.14)
What happened is that Kerry's Munich remarks did not play at all well in the United States. Kerry's planning to run in 2016. He shot himself in the foot, however, and cannot be rehabilitated. That's what you get for playing monkey to Obama's organ grinding.
16. No one-sided pressuring. Pals coddled while Israel pressured
Sam ,   Canada   (02.11.14)
Israel has agreed to Palestinian and Jewish states. There is no peace because Palestinians reject a Jewish (majority) state. Instead of groveling to the Palestinians and plastering them with free concessions the US, EU and UN should be directing their criticism at them.
17. #13 You're a nobody without a name
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.11.14)
18. B.S. Kerry orchestrated E.U. threats.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.11.14)
This statement is transparent B.S. Not only were Kerry's words clearly threatening. Kerry also orchestrated E.U. threats.
19. IQ test
(02.11.14)
Which of the four statements doesn't fit in with the others: a. "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" b. "it was the video maker's fault" c. "Kerry did not intend to press Israel" d. "I hate Netanyahu, I have to deal with him almost every day."
20. John Kerry
Harold ,   USA   (02.11.14)
John Kerry was just explaining what other countries in Europe will do when the peace process fails. Not a single commentator said any thing what the Israeli high class CEO said about boycott in Davos. The CEOs want peace and the creation of a Palestinian State to avoid boycotts.
21. #20
Arturo   (02.11.14)
Moslem/Arab/Naiz want a boycott to destry Israel's economy. Sadly, this US administration is on board with the nazis

23. #7
Harold ,   USA   (02.11.14)
Kerry was told by the EU and the Palestinians about what happens when the peace process fails. He just passed their messaages to the Isralis and nothing more or else.
24. to 13
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (02.11.14)
Do trust this: The Palestinians are the most "reliable" and "willing" partners, any country would want to deal with... But the little fact, such as their unwillingness to recognize the Jewish State & that the "friendly" terror groups of Hamas , Fattah, Islamic Jihad haven't got the slightest intentions to stop the terror & the desire to annihilate our Nation...But according to you,it is nothing of concern, but rather an incentive for building some of that "trust" to the point of giving up our sovereign land ? We do want peace, but we are not on a suicidal mission...And we couldn't care less what you consider trustworthy, nameless "brave hero"....
