31. I don't get it
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (02.13.14)
If the PLO recognised Israel as the Jewish state in 1993, why is it a problem for the PA to confirm that now as part of the final agreement? The right of return for Pals will be the new State of Palestine. Israel took in most of the 800,000 Jews pushed out of Arab states, and Palestine can take in the several hundred thousand Arabs who left Israel in 1948. As Abbas himself said, Arabs fled Israel out of fear of reprisals for all the Jews massacred by Arabs.
32. Abbas
Paul ,   New York USA   (02.13.14)
Abbas has already proven that he does not want peace. He wants a free ride. Wait until next week and watch him add more demands. Even if a treaty is signed, he will enact an infanta against Israel. He will be following what Arafat did.
33. Abbas, a terrorist in a suit
Liones ,   Israel   (02.13.14)
Lets NOT forget that Abbas is a terroist who wears a suit, most Israelis have not forgiven or forgotten the huge part that Abbas had in the Munich Olympic Massacre and the Maalot Massacre. A leopard does not change his spots!!!
34. We've Heard This Before And The Answer Is The Same
emanon ,   USA   (02.13.14)
No! Jerusalem belongs to Israel and the Jewish People. As for right of return, disarm and show peaceful intentions, then apply for citizenship, just like any other immigrant. Too bad their arab brothers don't want the people of Gaza.
35. Kerrys confident building measuries has failed !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (02.13.14)
The realease of Murderers is His only achievement. All demands should have been precented in the first place, to see if Peace is possible. Afterwards Confidentbuilding measuries could be made. Kerry is and Usefull Idiot only. Nr.7. has the only solution. Arn.Sweden.
36. Red line including East Jerusalem
LION OF JUDAH ,   JUDAH THE LON   (02.13.14)
Not enough abbassi, you should also claim Tel-Aviv, Yafo, Haifa, Ramat-Gan, Petah-Tikva, andf slowly and slowly all of Israel, and the Jews to be thrown to the Sea, then there will be real peace and quiet in the Middle East
37. Abu Mazen may set lines of every colour
Mira ,   Vienna   (02.13.14)
if he wants, it won't help him at all, neither would unilateral actions change anything on the ground, only the round Table and concessions may be of some advantage to him!
38. Abu Mazen just DEFEATED Kerry !!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.13.14)
LOLLLLLLLLL

Then, sadly to say, there will be no peace. If Israel accepts the international consensus (which does not mean it is in any way correct), there will be no Israel. A very simple choice. I don’t agree with yours.
40. abass
paul ,   Nigeria   (02.13.14)
Abass is such a mystified, predatory, controversial, egocentric and lunatic homosapien.

Birdi ,   Israel is ours.   (02.13.14)
In brief, shut up. You have no say in the matter.
42. 36.
Birdi ,   Israel is ours.   (02.13.14)
What you say is the exact intention of every Palestinian. Slowly but surely to take over every inch of Jewish Israeli land. Abbas has the betzim to make futile demands on Israel because he knows the EU, USA & madhatter Livni are behind him with their support. We are in for a huge balagan here!
43. You can't take a 65-year-old UN resolution
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (02.14.14)
That you and your representatives unanimously rejected and suddenly claim that you want it. That ship sailed long ago. In addition, UNGAR 194 not only did not grant East Jerusalem as any capital, it didn't mention Jerusalem at all. It was also a General Assembly resolution, which was not binding anyway. What we do have is UNSCR 242, which in any case,l supersedes UNGAR 194, coming 18 years after 194 and taking into account changes since then. However, UNSCR 242 has no mention of "Palestine" or "Palestinians". It also doesn't say "all the territories acquired in the late conflict". The precedent is that the Gaza Strip was not returned to Egypt with the 1979 treaty between Israel and Egypt. Nor was "all the" land from Jordan returned in 1994 to Jordan. There is no precedent for the idea that Israel has to withdraw from the entire West Bank... there's not even any requirement for agreeing to land swaps. Abbas keeps coming out with statements that fly in the face of the historical precedents of thousands of years-- that the winner of a war determines the conditions of surrender, not the loser. His "All or Nothing" approach is just as likely to give him nothing as it is to give him exactly what he wants.

Read some history before you post. Warning: you will find it difficult, as you will not find any history of “Palestinian arabs” or a nation called Palestine. You will find that the nomenclature began in the 1960’s as an admitted piece of propoganda against Israel. You will find that all arabs, until then, insisted they were Egytians, Syrians, etc, not Palestinians (because in 1948 when you said Palestinian, you meant the Jews). You will also find how many deaths arabs caused before there was an Israel and how many wars they have started (and thank HaShem, lost) since. Facts, please.
45. Mr Abass's "Red Lines"
michael.weizmann ,   safed, israel   (02.16.14)
This smacks of someone stealing a leaf---or,rather, leaves--from Bibi's and Boogies' books. And after these demands of Mr Abbas are not met? Which they plainly cannot be. Then what? Perhaps a Green Line---or Lines. That would be more historically more legitimate, and more beneficial to Palestinians and Israeli's alike. And workable, methinks. Anti-semitism and anti-Israelism do not grow food for anybody.
