1. El Al

We all know the answer - the planes are never ready to leave the stand and take their slot to take off, the Haridim are still fighting to change seats. Recently traveled on both Alitalia and British and the scenes are so embarrassing it make one ashamed to be in any associated with them. They prance around as if by buying a ticket they have bought the plane! As if it their right to demand to be re-seated.
2. we know Every Landing Always Late (EL-AL)
so this isn't news! ,   Israel   (02.18.14)
3. valid reason why El Al is always late
Jerry Diamond ,   Highland Beach Fl   (02.18.14)
Very good reason why El Al is always late. They usually have a few seats that are still available on the plane before take off and El Al has a policy that they dont fly till every seat is sold so it takes them a while to run around the air port lobby trying to find a passenger they can make a deal with to take one of those empty seats that are still left lol
4. So what?! We're ancient People, we've got time....

5. What a response !!!
Ralph ,   Rishon   (02.19.14)
"Unfortunately, delays in Cyprus' airspace, through which El Al flights pass, " What other nonsense can El Al come up with? So Royal Jordanian on their way to Europe and North America don't take the same route? Of course they do.
6. 2 possible explanations
neal ,   minneapolis usa   (02.19.14)
One possible explanation is that El Al deliberately alters its departure times for reasons of security. Another is that it, like most of us, operates on Jewish Standard Time -- 15 minutes late.
7. It landed earlier when i took El Al

You might hate the haredi but to make ELAL reliability a haredi issue is childish.

Both your possible exceptions have been true in my case. One time security took an interest in me in the UK and they wanted to search my bags before I got on the plane so I get to the gate and they take me behind a curtain to go through my bags and my shoes. Check out each item one by one and they did have to go hold the plane and as soon as I was on board they took off. Another time I like to board the plane at last call so I am sitting at the Gate in Ben Gurion waiting and I didn't hear them make the last call announcements because I was watching movie no my iPad with earphones. Its not until they actually phoned my cellphone and asked where I was I discovered.

12. El Al always late
tiki ,   belgium   (02.19.14)
Bot nothing in comparison to years ago. There is a huge improvement, including in their service. Today I always fly EL AL if I have to choose between airlines, because other airlines don't fare much better....on the contrary.
13. ELAL EVERY LANDING ALWAYS LATE

Hmm that's odd. I have flown over 50 times with El Al and I can tell you that over half of the flights were not full.
15. AND THE WINNER IS:..........................
Israeli 2   (02.19.14)
EL AL! That's why I always fly EL Al!
16. I will never fly EL AL ever again!
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (02.22.14)
I was a loyal customer until they overcharged me for three overweight luggages. Now, I travel with Air Canada and Lufthansa Airlines. They give good service ON TIME, and don’t cheat you out of your money.
17. Congratulations to El Al.
Ralph ,   Rishon   (02.22.14)
El Al deserves our congratulations. After learning that they are last in the list concerning late arrivals, they have solved the problem very easily. What have they done - simply cancelled a flight (to Paris on Sunday) so that it can't be late.

hayim ,   gibraltar   (02.24.14)
Ever since I was a young boy L've known that there's always been delays with this airline thats why its name was known for being the abbreviation of;
19. free flights
Miron ,   Israel   (02.24.14)
It is very possible that having some empty seats for certain flights, they call their persons that fly for free. Those ,are coming a bit late to the airport and this causes the delays. I know a guy,who flies for free with ElAl,even if he never worked there and this is not fare! After all,we pay also for those"free riders"
20. e.l.a.l.
HAYIM ,   GIBRALTAR   (02.24.14)
i've always known that e l a l stands for;- EVERY LANDING ALWAYS LATE!!!!
21. El Al - you can always rely on them!
Col ,   Raanana   (02.24.14)
Everyone has a story. How about this one? Booked an El Al flight to Marseilles, checked in, got to barding gate, about to board and told the flight was CANCELLED. No explanation, except, sent to Paris instead, after traipsing around Charles de Gaule Airport, finally put on a plain to Nice and got to my destination - ELEVEN HOURS LATE.
22. El Al Flights are always on Time
Tova ,   Canada   (03.25.14)
I've flown El Al each time arrival and departure we on time. Moreover if delayed I don't care. Security is more important and no need to rush. We Jews eventually get to where we are going. From Abraham to Moses to David to Solomon we all get to Israel. I will fly El Al everytime.
