It was predictable that Israel would be in a frenzy over Spain's offer, and this article is a perfect example as the worst possible thing for Israel is the thought of any Jew leaving his country to any place other than Israel if that person is not already in Israel, or the possibly that any Jew would leave Israel to take up Spain's offer. The greatest hypocrisy comes when the writer asks about the Muslims? <<<"Why isn't their Spanish citizenship being returned? Why only the Jews', and where is the real equality? It's enough to mention that the Moriscos' descendants include at least 10 million Arabs, most of whom live in North Africa today, and they should definitely "return" to Spain and Portugal too.>>>> Of course, he's absolutely right. Why should this be only restricted to Jews while there exists many descendants of Muslims who were expelled by Spain also? However, this begs the question of all the Palestinian Muslims and Christians, who were expelled by Israel only 66 years ago. Not only are there descendants of those who were expelled, but many of those Palestinians are the original refugees who are denied their inalienable right of return simply because they do meet the definition of who is defined as a Jew which has absolutely nothing to do where one comes from, but according to Jewish religious law. Where is the "real equality" that exists for the Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel? It is non-existent Where do people like Mr. Bechor have the audacity to write articles like this?

And this coming from someone living in a country most of whose people has come from other continents, whose founding was based on stealing and expropiating enormous extensions of land, as well as on exterminating most of its indigenous inhabitants, the remaining of which the colonizers continue to oppress and sack to this day?
