1. Equality
Ami ,   Tel Aviv   (02.23.14)
In my opinion, the rule must be the same for everyone: male or female, religious or secular, Jewish or Arab, Druze or Christian, Reform or Haredi. No exceptions. Ideally, there would not be any criminal penalties. I think the best arrangement would be that those who serve either 2 years in the IDF or 3 years in civilian service become eligible to vote, become eligible for subsidies, and become eligible to be married in Israel. People who choose not to serve should be able to have an Israeli passport, but not vote, should be able to get married, but not in Israel, and should be able to get what they pay for, but no subsidies.
2. The Hharedis enlistment
Moshe ,   Israel   (02.23.14)
A comprehensive conscription for Hharedis may lead to widespread violent demonstrations and arresting of thousands, if not more, dodgers. Does Israel has enough jails for so many offenders ? Apparently there is no choice but conscript them in stages,
3. Everyone must serve though not just in the army
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (02.23.14)
If someone can't take orders in a combat unit, they don't even belong as a jobnik in the IDF. There are probably hundreds of opportunities available in the national service that anyone can do. And they can even make more of them. It would be a nice compromise too. And then they can go home in the evening each day and still have time to study the Torah. We don't need people in the army who don't want to be there. That's actually counterproductive. But I bet there are a lot of other fields this country needs help in they could join.
4. The conscription force will end up with
Danny ,   Holon   (02.23.14)
neither Haredi who serve G-d and His Torah will serve, nor will Nahal Haredi who generally serve the state first before Torah.
5. Gantz said everyone must serve.....

Breath of fresh air.
6. Inspire ,wake up patriotic feelings
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (02.23.14)
pride ,instead of making appear serving in the IDF as a burden. It is a privilege to be part of the combat units,a merit a glory,a prestige. The IDF needs leaders, men of vision. Where is Ashkenazy?
7. A Simple Solution To This Problem.....
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (02.23.14)
would be if it was agreed to compel everyone to join the army AND compel everyone to sit and learn in a Yeshiva for an equal length of time. Now, that would be a true "sharing the burden". This is a Jewish country after all and everyone should learn what it really means to be a Jew and observe the Commandments and the Torah.
8. 7 Not so simple but best solution,
