or was it Ch. 8, I was transfixed by the film of Mrs. Alice Sommer. I fell in love with her and hoped she would live on and on ! She was an extremely wonderful human being. May she rest in peace.

Its great she survived and lived such a long life but the ones to remember here are the millions who didn't get a chance to live to 110.

Seeing her interview , I don't think that she a religious person , certaiinly not practicing religion . Not all the wise persons live a long life .

The maximum years we can live is written in our genes. but to live up to our potential we must care for the health of body and soul. In the camp,this wonderful lady, thanks G-D did not feel the pain of hunger ,because she could play music,that was as she said ,food for her soul. From there we see how important the soul is.It can save a life. Her twin sister ,a pessimist ,lived about a quarter of a century less. The Tora teaches us to see good in people ,to love people,to be thankful,not to complain to be joyful. She learned all this from her mother,who most probably learned that from her own mother,may be religious. How i know? wishful thinking. May you live 120 happy,joyful, good years Charles.
