4. How to shoot yourself in the foot
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (02.27.14)
Just who is this crazy PA 'Official' Just as thousands of Palestinian Business People - in the West Bank and overseas make plans to invest, and start new businesses there - then you get another monkey spoiling the plans and turning Palestinian Investors away West Bank is not Gaza. Which business person would want to invest one olive in the West Bank - in the middle of a PA sponsored Intifada? You might think an Intifada is bad for Israel..its also just as bad for Palestinians in the West Bank So get on with the talking
5. Could or could not
Charles Collins ,   Tel aviv   (02.27.14)
He might. But then again he might also sign a peace treaty with Israel. What a meaningless scare article.
6. Terror
Naftali   (02.27.14)
Ok, and we might return to eliminating that new leader and this anonymous spokesperson
7. Excellent. We have already learned how to deal with this.
Igor ,   Israel   (02.27.14)
Another confirmation that we would be crazy if signed with "palestinians" any agreement.
8. If Abbas' succesor is a terrorist from outside of Fatah,
A ,   Belgium   (02.27.14)
than keep him outside. If he is a terrorist serving time in an Israeli prison, give him life imprisonement. Begin immediate repatriation of Jordanian citizens illegally squatting in Judea and Samaria to their homeland across the river. And if the "palestinians" start getting unruly, squash them like cockroaches. Problem solved.
9. All invaders eventually leave,
igor ,   Toronto canada   (02.27.14)
so too will the Muslims, again, like from Spain and from the Balkan retreating back to a cave.
10. More threats. What a joke
Joe Fraser ,   Canada   (02.27.14)
11. Stop your nonsense and

12. welcome habibi, we're waiting for you
Israeli   (02.27.14)
13. This might easily be the end of the idea
Mira ,   Vienna   (02.27.14)
of a "Palestinian State" in WB and causing them to get settled in Jordan eventually! If they are that stupid, that's ok. with us!
14. Nothing has changed
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (02.27.14)
since Abbas' ugly, smirking predecessor entered the UN, proclaiming himself armed with an olive branch and gun. He and his "people" always extend the one while threatening with the other. Let them threaten. Israel knows how to deal with them.
15. And We Could Give Him A Hellfire Enema
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (02.27.14)
Like we do with other terrorist leaders.
16. If PLO/Fatah fails, exactly WHO do Israelis think
spyguy ,   seattle   (02.27.14)
will replace Fatah? At the very least Fatah/PLO will be replaced by Hamas, but it is more likely that Fatah/PLO will be rel[placed by an Al Quaida franchise. Israel's last chance to avoid massive war is Fatah. Once Fatah is proved to be unable to get a deal from Israel, all restrictions will be gone. Enjoy dealing with Al Quaida.
17. Famous last words...
Jerusalem Jew ,   Jerusalem   (02.27.14)
Let them use violence, please do...
18. Marwan Barghouti easy to deal with
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (02.27.14)
Just take his phone away. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
19. #16 No prob...Fatah, PLO, Hamas, Al Quaida,
A ,   Belgium   (02.27.14)
all easy targets for Israeli drones.
20. spyguy, seattle 16
LION OF JUDAH ,   JUDAH THE LON   (02.27.14)
Israel have managed to defeat the Arabs from 1948, when Israel was fresh baby born, with out proper army, shortage of all kinds of weapons, with one an old crap plane, against five well trained army with hundreds of tanks, jet fighters, etc,. and few hundred millions against six hundred Jews. Let them come, the IDF will make sure that the Al Qaeda will drop their pants and run for their lives. You will be most welcome to join them
21. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.27.14)
That would be Jordan's problem, though, wouldn't it? As to Al Qaeda -- it's not exactly as if Israel is an inept as the United States, you know? Were it not for Israel's help, you'd still be looking for bin Laden. And not finding him.
22. Bibi's successor will turn to transfer.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.27.14)
Soon the latest phony "peace talks with Palestinians" will blow sky high like all the rest. Israel will be fed up with the dangerous dumb lies and elect a very different leader. A leader with the wisdom and courage to embrace transfer of "Palestinians".
23. new pal leader may turn to violence with/out peace agreement
jericho ,   causa   (02.27.14)
Emulating EU-trash Israelis would have danced to wagner on their wait to the gas chambers commenting on how dirty their fellow Jews are and how clean their hosts are.
24. hint hint it might be mar wan Bargouti who support violence
zionist forever   (02.27.14)
Marwan Bargouti who is compared to Nelson Mandella is the favourite successor to Abbas and who many Israel and foreign politicians want to see released is the most popular candidate to succeed Abbas. Since going to prison Marwan Mandella has drafted the Prisoner Document in which he says whilst diplomacy is preferable armed resistance ( terror ) is a legitimate option.
25. #20 - It is NOT 1967 anymore
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (02.28.14)
All your false bravado ignores the REALITY that the US has been defeated in Iraq and Afghanistan by those very same people you are so disdainful of. If you choose war you are going to deeply regret it and could very well lose. Even if Israel somehow "wins" it will lose because there will be a huge number of dead Israelis and many (possibly millions) displaced to the US and EU, while the economy will be completely destroyed. Israel is no where as strong as you imagine.
26. #22 - Why is it so hard for you to understand
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (02.28.14)
that "transfer" is NOT going to happen. The seconds Israel tries it, the entire world, INCLUDING the US, will come down on Israel like a ton of bricks and destroy the Israel economy overnight. If you want to live in a destroyed country, just try to "transfer" non-Jews. Then there is the other problem that the entire Arab and Muslim world will react extremely violently and whether you understand it or not, Israel cannot win in any sense of the world in a fight with over a billion people. get over your delusions and deal with the real world.
27. Elections!
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (02.28.14)
Appointing a sucessor ??? Are they not supposed to hold elections.
28. #25 "the US has been defeated in Iraq and Afghanistan"
A ,   Belgium   (02.28.14)
Because, unlike Israel, the U.S. military (and their present leaders obviously) didn't understand the mentality and behaviour of their moslem enemies...treaties don't count, lying is the rule not the exception, children and women may be used as human shields and hospitals, schools and civilian residences are perfect hiding places. Israel not only understands this sick mentality but also has plenty of experience in dealing with it. Of course, in an all out war, Israels' enemies will simply be squashed like cockroaches.
