Israel is far from being the liberal and progressist democracy it claims to be
2. Hmmmm
Yehuda ,   Ashdod, Israel   (03.09.14)
Interesting how this is all coming to a head on the week before Purim. I wonder who will be hanging from the tree when this is all over.
3. Hypocrites
Ellen ,   Netanya/NYC   (03.09.14)
When the parties currently in the opposition enforce party discipline and insist that their members vote the way THEY think, that is okay. When a more right wing coalition enforces discipline, all of a sudden it is "not democratic" This is the typical, standard rhetoric of the left. We do it--okay, they do it--not okay. My suggestion to the left--grow up already, the people of Israel didn't want you, there is a reason you are in the opposition. Furthermore, your current behavior seems to indicate--you better get comfortable there.

Israel should revoke your permit to stay. It must now bring about your exit It is not difficult to track your IP and who you are I look to come and waive you off , as you are deported , you ungrateful guest. Just as a dog bites its master

7. The best sign that Mashiah is very, very close
anonymous   (03.09.14)
Our holy Sages say that the last galut for the Jews will be under the Erev-Rav, known today as the Zionists and so-called Religious Zionists. Jews get ready, Mashiah is very, very close.
8. Thank you Norbus for corroboring my point
Non Jewish immigrant ,   Haifa   (03.09.14)
If Israel deports me for not accepting its policies and for thinking differently from the main stream, that would just prove my point in my previous post. Thank you
9. #1Go to Crimea
Mark ,   Israel   (03.09.14)
I see your hateful posts in all articles. Why suffer here? Coming to Israel as member of Jewish family and immediately receiving citizenship didn't make you belonging to Israel. Go to Crimea to demonstrate your democratic fever. Vote for Russia and stay there forever.

11. I apologize, I got up on the
Erin ,   USA   (03.10.14)
Wrong side of the bed, peace is elusive when we give in to hate and anger, but also unity is an unescapable dream. Yet, we know know we desire it and because of that I write below; this is a difficult time for Israel with four blood moons coming up, we don't know what Father has comjng up for us-what He will prune us with and because of this I think it might be necessary for the government or the IDF to make a new category, not unlike a state of emergency-which requires all residents of Israel to share the burden militarily. For example, for a period of five years, all reservists need to be called up to active duty at least two months a year to keep them actively fit for duty with new skills as needed and all young people in the age range of 19-20 who can serve need to serve in the IDF for the assumed amount of time currently in the law, and while these may onlu serve two years during this five year "category" the IDF dhould ask in advance for more recruits or longer service periods to alllow for training not in a rush so that people's safety is not put near danger, then when the "period" of distress is over the troop increase can be released to lower lrvels as needed. The idea being that this mandatory service requirement would be for a limited period of time and not strain the IDF command chain while allowing the MKs of the Knesset to be a check for reasonableness of this "call up" being implemented. That's just one idea, but I will say from personal experience I would not be able to sit still while my country is under attack-i would have to do something for the people on either side of me who unbeknownst to me may be dying for me and for the safety of everyond else. This is about caring for everyone in a time of need. I hope we are all in unity about that. Can a "state of readiness" category be created and that referendum voted upon to create a solution to the needs of the peopleof Israel and to protect Israel in the times of challenge she faces from time to time. I am praying for you to be of one spirit as brothers and sisters desire to be and I do apologize for my grumpiness today. Shalom.
12. this is a waste of time,
Erin ,   USA   (03.10.14)
If a person forces another to vote when the tide changes, the vote will go the other way and in the meantime the people under the jurisdiction of these votes/laws will have to endure the back and forth-to and fro motion of these humanmade tides. Whoever designed these plans to vote "en mass" either doesn't know human nature and the factthat Israel is called to stand upright or they are turning a blind eye to this truth. "By His Spirit" not by might are things to be done. I fon't know ifShas Chairman Deri is prophetic in saying the coalition shows signs of breaking up but something is going to break up in these back and forth waves, and I pray, pray, pray it is not the wonderful people of Israel.---whose idea was this coalition agreement anyway? What a worthless idea, toss it out and redraw a new idea-you have to have better ideas than this, Iknow you too well to let you trip and scrstch up your face on this one. I'll be praying for you. Come on! You can get back up and do better than this, I have confidence in you. Give the topics another try. Be inventive. Be kind. Be peaceful please, shalom.
13. Will backfire on lapid
D ,   kefar saba   (03.13.14)
Lapid thinks that in the last year of this government he will be able to continue to the next one, by bringing down prices, he is correct, but the next time he will be in the same limited position as Shinui, Ratz and many others. By the 3rd government, he will be a "small" party, and will disappear.
