1. All honor to our brave soldiers.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (03.11.14)
Thank g-d our soldiers have more brains than Bibi the diplomat. Our soldiers have two obligations protect the nation and come home safely. Shame on you Bibi.
2. why
g.e.   (03.11.14)
I don't get it. Why in the world should Israel regret shooting anyone who attempts to steal the weapon of a soldier at checkpoint? What else were the soldiers to do? Are we sorry that he wasn't successful? Let his death be a lesson to others with the same idea.
3. Regrets?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.11.14)
He went berserk, ignored repeated calls to stop, was not fazed by bullets fired at his legs. He then tried to strangle an Israeli soldier and seize his weapon. What were we supposed to do? Set out tea and crumpets? I don't think so. Most countries would not have bothered with a warning of any kind. Tell Jordan to stuff it. We don't owe them a damned thing; least of all an explanation.
4. Not self defense. MURDER.
(03.11.14)
5. PM Mr. Netanyahu: Where's the video?
Israel ,   Israel   (03.11.14)
Give up the video so that we can all see for ourselves what went on at the border.
6. Whether or not you're a draft dodger
Sam ,   PT   (03.11.14)
you'll end up in jail anyhow just for killing a terrorist, I'm sorry, I meant a 'judge' who wanted to kill you. Hareidim should thank G-d they're not and never will be part of this nutty army where they value lives of terrorists more than those of Israeli soldiers.
7. Damage control against terrorism too?
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (03.11.14)
Yes, I agree 100% that we need damage control with our good neighbor Jordan. However, don't our soldiers also deserve damage control against those who would physically harm them? We have clear and strict rules of engagement (use of force) and should be most cautious in turning our soldiers into having to react like diplomats whenever their life is as risk. Mend fences with Jordan by all means, but don't tear down new ones with our IDF in the process.
8. That's the behaviour of a JUDGE???
Harry Wright ,   UK   (03.11.14)
What kind of meds was he on??? Sounds like he was crazed.
9. #5, what for?
Danny   (03.11.14)
Video showed IDF soldiers being beaten before they even made it down the rope on the Mavi. What exactly would convince you that this was justified?
10. #6 Sam think again buddy
Haim   (03.11.14)
The harideem wont be part of this army? Is that right? well news flash buddy the day of the free loaders has come to an end. Every citizen must share the burden. Why is their blood more valuable than ours? They will be drafted or face jail, where i am assured they will be served 3 kosher meals a day. Those who dont like it are free to leave the country, traitors !
11. I wouldn't apologize for diddly-squat!
manicdrummer ,   Haifa   (03.11.14)
The man was deranged and he infiltrated Israeli border security with intent to do bodily harm. He had it coming.
12. German soldiers pushed Jews in same way, Arabs fight back
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.11.14)
...Jews did not.
13. Sounds like this arab trans-jordan judge
(03.11.14)
Was Unstable? Maybe his Court Decsions should be reviewed? Any past history of Death By unstable Actions!!!
14. Netanyahu shows himself time and time again
Al   (03.11.14)
of being a person who does not deserve to be PM of Israel. He is a fickle braggart with nay a scintilla of a brain. He is all about show, has no real ideology and is beret of any real commitment to the State. He pines to an enemy, always believing that this will in some way endear us to them. They want dead...what part of that do you not understand?
15. Regret is not the same as an apology
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (03.11.14)
It is a politician's word and it works well. We can say we regret his death, but at the same time we know and will defend the soldier who shot him because we cannot regret the actions taken by our soldiers to protect themselves. It's like saying in more eloquent terms that we're sorry we had to waste bullets on him. We're sorry we are now going to have to waste time "investigating" this mess. We're sorry that we're going to have to expend resources dealing with the backlash from all the idiots that think that this is some plot to kill a Jordanian Judge. We're sorry that the newspapers need to write more than these 2 lines in the paper: Soldier was attacked. Attacker was shot. So yes, because all of this, we regret his death.
16. Probably another case of mentally ill person - remember
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (03.11.14)
the case (years ago) when a Jordanian killed some children on a school tour near the border? This sounds like the same thing? Judge was probably deranged for some reason.
17. I said when it happened: Show the footage
Dov ben David ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.11.14)
And I say it again! Everything is on tape. If not, it has been erased. There are multople cameras in the crossing. I am 120% sure that Israel have this footage!
18. #15 Jacob E: Well said. Thanx.
GS ,   Germany   (03.11.14)
19. Rules of Engagement
Dennis ,   NJ USA   (03.11.14)
I still recall my 1984 Tironut, when we were taught the Rules of Engagement (opening fire). Our commanders taught us to shout Halt three times, shott in the air, shoot at their legs, and only then at their body. I thought that if I was ever in a situation of danger, id be killed before I could get a bead on a kill shot.Stupid rules. I decided that someone coming at me with a weapon or with deadly intent would be dead before he/she got too close...
20. Definition of deranged person
Hain ,   Tel aviv   (03.11.14)
We have to add new definition of "Deranged" too many people who attack the jew on the national ground called by the nation "deranged" just to avoid to say the true meaning - jew hater
21. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.a. / Israel   (03.11.14)
Well, we're fighting back now. And you know what? We'll beat 'em -- each and every time. Do you have a problem with that? Oh, good. If you have a problem with Jews fighting back, we must be doing something right.
22. To: Barbara at No. 16
Sarah B ,   U   (03.11.14)
The only difference is that Jordan ignored Israel's outrage, and offered neither an explanation nor an apology. So whatever it is that Jordan expects from Israel -- I say it's perfectly okay to disappoint them.
23. he might have been
arne ,   chicago usa   (03.11.14)
set off by his being questioned and detained at the gate, lost his temper and his mind and started a hay-rube. other then that it don't make much sense.Pour guy--he started with the wrong people
24. Regret?
Natan ,   US   (03.11.14)
Shoudn't the regret come from Jordan???When you act in self defense, there is NOTHING you need to appolgize for. Israel's expressions of regret only legitimize the brutal and hatefull behavior of the Jordanian Judge\terrorist!!!
25. I know what happened.
Frank ,   USA   (03.11.14)
He was overcome with hate and could not control it. At least now he is in peace.
26. #14 Bibi is brilliant. You are lucky, very lucky
Al ,   California   (03.11.14)
to have Bibi as your leader. There is a time to fight and also to apologize. Bibi is watching your back, Israel's back. G-d bless Bibi!
27. #13 He was a Hashemite citizen but

29. Israel regrets killing arab judge who stried stealing gun
jenifer ,   jerusalem, Israel   (03.11.14)
I say, arabs, stop your bull! and stop terrorizing and harrassing us Jews!
30. Because Israel Is Always Right
Ibro ,   Jerusalem   (03.11.14)
Israel is always the innocent always....., they do not commit crimes, only people commit crimes against Israel. And if proven guilty the murderer is usually mentally ill like the Hebron Massacre or the Burning of the Aqsa mosque... Come on give us a break and stop giving kudos to every crime that is done, and for every killing you do a justification.. Not only Arabs are tired of this, the whole world is tired of this. 50 Passengers of the bus witnessed what happened and all say that the Judge didn't pose threat and wasn't the one who attacked the soldiers, the soldiers intimidated him and pushed him around, and in every human who got dignity they will not leave a soldier to humiliate them or push them around... Please release the videos, there are thousands of surveillance cameras there, why you are not showing them??? hahaha because they hide sthing disgusting I believe...
