1. Israeli flag is burning in Jordanian Parliament
LION OF JUDAH ,   JUDAH THE LION   (03.12.14)
Jordan always blackmailing Israel by breaking off their diplomatic relationship with Israel. Let them break relationship with Israel, and we Jews in Israel and in the Kenesset should burn Jordanian flag. Why should Jordan burn Israeli flag and Israel accept this. Grow up Israel and show your pride and strength.
2. Haredim should thank G-d
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.12.14)
that they will never be part of this sick army. Today's "approval" in the Knesset means absolutely nothing as Gedole Yisrael, our true great leaders, will never allow any haredi to enlist in this immoral anti- Torah army. Mark my words.
3. Seems to be a lot of whinging
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (03.12.14)
by the IDF. The Allenby Bridge is riddled with CCTV, just show the video if the soldiers were attacked and were acting in self defence then they will have nothing to worry about. Afterall he was allegedly wielding an iron bar, then tried to strangle a soldier. Produce the CCTV

Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (03.12.14)
That "sick" army keeps you alive. You say you want to study Torah. You should be grateful every single day that this army protects the country and people to allow everyone to go about their business. BE GRATEFUL.
5. #2
Eric   (03.12.14)
Disgusting freeloader! The law will win. Mark my words!
6. It sounds like Monthy Pyton's black knight
Albrecht ,   EU   (03.12.14)
"the man attempted to attack soldiers several times before he was shot" Yes, many armed soldiers not able to overwhelme an UNARMED, INJURED man.
7. PM Netanyahu expressed 'regret'. That's correct language of diplomacy.
GS ,   Germany   (03.12.14)
8. #6
Mika ,   Jerusalem   (03.12.14)
Idiot. They shot him in his lower body to avoid killing him. They don't go for a head shot immediately because they want to keep suspects alive.
9. #6 Albrecht: He "ran towards the soldiers screaming..., trying to snatch the soldier's weapon"
GS ,   Germany   (03.12.14)
10. I too regret this man's death
paulD ,   Jerusalem   (03.12.14)
but you gotta do what gotta do, after all we are dealing with Arabs, who show little ability to contain their hatred and aggression.
11. CCTV
Sarah B ,   NY/London   (03.12.14)
The video will never be shown. If it was it would show the IDF behaving in the way they act as so many checkpoints across the West Bank - being rude to the arabs, poniting their guns at them, hitting them. So this guy lost his temper, and they shot dead an unarmed man and then lied as they always do, saying "he tried to attack us! We weren't doing Nuffin".
12. No one is happy he was shot. No one is happy he tried to tak
Adi ,   Zurich   (03.12.14)
No one is happy he was shot. No one is happy he tried to take a weapon from a soldier. No one is happy he tried to fight a soldier. The PM is correct to offer his condolences as do Israeli people.
13. Just show the video in its ENTIRETY
exUK ,   TEL AVIV   (03.12.14)
from the time that the bus approached, from every aspect, until the incident was over...not SELECTED bits....SHOW THE WHOLE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS.Whatever the reason, the man should not have been shot if he was not armed with agun or other lethal weapon.Do we not have stun guns? The people in IDF check points should be experienced, and not panic. If we have 18 year old new soldiers there ,that is wrong, but if the guys are experienced I dont understand why they could not control any agitated person.
14. The way forward
Hussein Hammami ,   Amman - Jordan   (03.12.14)
Israel's version of the tragic incident of the killing of Judge Zueter is typical: the man screams "Allahu Akbar" then attacks the IDF soldier with an iron bar. Conclusion: the man was an Arab terrorist who deserved to be shot, end of story. No, the story will not end there, nor with the expression of regret that Netanyahu's office issued, which was not an apology anyway. Israel will have to issue a proper apology, take legal responsibility for the crime, prosecute the perpetrator/s and pay proper ocompensation. Israel will also need to review its procedures on the crossings, not only to make sure such crimes will not happen again, but also ensure that travellers are treated with due respect and civility. This is the only way Israel can prove it is dealing with this tragic incident in good faith. Anything less will only confirm that Israel's peaceful pronouncements are just that: meaningless pronouncements.
15. snatch the weapon
Rau   (03.12.14)
So he came all the way from Jordan just to snatch the weapon!!! #3 is right, just show the video.
16. #8 don't you understand?
Albrecht ,   EU   (03.12.14)
"He was shot in his lower body, but CONTINUED to attack the soldier. Two soldiers noticed the attack and opened fire, shooting him at least five times." They FIRST shot in his legs and THAN - not able to overwhelme an INJURED man - shot him dead. "Idiot"
17. #11. U only provocateur to get a bit of attention for yrself
Adi ,   Zurich   (03.12.14)
#11. U only provocateur to get a bit of attention for yrself. The IDF has the highest level of discipline. Soldiers dont bully arabs. Every checkpoint is filmed. Abuse is not tolerated. IDF does not hand over video footage to press. Never has. Never will. If an individual is rude. Uncooperative and abusive. What is yr answer. Make them tea.!.
18. #17 "IDF has the highest level of discipline." lol
Albrecht ,   EU   (03.12.14)
a good joke! http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4493246,00.html

21. #6, the voice of ignorance
Danny   (03.12.14)
so an guy is hitting a soldier with a iron bar and the other soldiers are meant to treat him gently? Or take their time trying not to kill him whilst he endangers the life of one of their colleagues? PS The Amnesty Report you quoted has already been shown to be BS
22. #18, thats like me attaching a link of the 19 9/11 hijackers
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (03.12.14)
and calling all the Arabs terrorists. The IDF, is very disciplined! You'll never hear about how the IDF restrains itself after a rocket attack or two, every single week, you just hear about it when the IDF responds after 30! or the solders who deal with thousands of Palestinians every day without incident, you only hear about it when one of them gets shot! No one has ever argued that every soldier in the IDF is perfect. I have met a few bad ones myself. it's a mandatory draft, and some Israelis may take out their resentment on others, some may have anger issues just like our Muslim neighbors, we are all human after all (I know, shocking! isn't it?) . Unless you have served in the IDF like we have , you can't claim to know anything about the IDF! I was never tought or encouraged to be trigger happy by the IDF. the IDF screens recruits from this type of behavior, in fact ever uttering the words "I want to kill Arabs" gets you disqualified from combat or border duty. Im sure wanting to kill Jews is a requirement of the Muslim religion, but just because I feel like that doesn't make it quite true, now does it?
23. Nazis pushed Jews, now Jews push Arabs, but Arabs fight back
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.12.14)
24. #3, yeah right
Danny   (03.12.14)
Because we know from the gaza flotilla incident that people like you who have already made up their minds are going to be convinced by video. What exactly would the video have to show for you to be convinced?
25. #24 Danny
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (03.12.14)
The Judge swinging an iron bar and attempting to strangle a soldier and grabbing at his rifle. Like what the IDF said what happened
26. #14 huessin--I agree
arne ,   chicago usa   (03.12.14)
with a lot of what you wrote, and I can understand your anger, but I must remind you that because of Israel's fear of terror they sometimes behave beligerantly. The soldiers at the crossing are under pressure to screen all coming into the country and some might get unruly and set people off.I for one am sorry for this incident as most Israels are ,I'm sure. Jordon is a good neighbor in a tough neighborhood. So let's slow it down, I'm sure Israel will respond in good faith. Please don't stir the kettle.
27. #14 arab From trans-jordan
(03.12.14)
Israeli's dont come to trans-jordan and attack their military, do they, NO you arabs need to understand One Simple Fact: Jews won't stand for arab lies and arab Aggression twords Jews Anymore, this judge Entered Israel To Make Trouble and he got What He Deserved, Israel doesnt need to lectured by the likes of you or any arab for that matter, clean up your act and your peoples act and then maybe you may criticize and then offer solutions to the problem!!! Yella
28. The "judge" got what he DESERVED !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.12.14)

29. run the Allenby camera footage & lay the matter to rest
Cameron ,   USA   (03.12.14)
