Batman ,   Gotham City, Lebanon   (03.15.14)
... And his Iranian backers are losing ground in Lebanon and elsewhere in the Arab countries... Not only Sunni Lebanese want to get rid of them but so does every Lebanese Christian... Does anyone have a cure for such a cancer besides teh IDF...?
3. Lebanon and Israel
albert snow ,   sweden   (03.15.14)
Lebanon is a failed state because it´s built on sectarian grounds. And now The christians has lost it´s former majority in population. Israel ought to learn from that, that a one state solultion and making the hostile arabs in the palestinian territories Citizens of Israel will lead to following results: 1. Civil unrest and a strong increase in arab terroractivities in Israel. Maybe even an civil war. 2. Jews with dubbel citizenship will not feel safe and leave the jewish state. 3. Arab muslim part of the population will rise. 4. Wars and jewish emigrations from Israel will be the end of the jewish state.
4. Lebanon = pathetic puppet of Hezbollah / Iran

5. To CJK - 82 War Continues
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (03.15.14)
The war and invasion of 1982 that gave rise to creation of Hezbollah has never been resolved. The 2006 summer invasion resolved nothing. Bolton's UN resolution resolved nothing either. Israel attacked Lebanon this year. When you make war, sometimes the other side makes war back. Destroying the Lebanese civilian infrastructure in 2006 didn't win any friends for Israel. Invasions tend to be unpopular with those invaded. Lebanon is just debating the right to bear arms and self-defense, a debate that has lasted in the US for well over 200 years.

you are engaging in your usual manipulations. hezbollah is a proxy of iran. lebanon is a failed state. israel did not attack lebanon this year. israel took out missile shipments headed from syria to iran's proxy hezbollah. the weapons shipments were in violation of unscr forbidding the arming of hezbollah. israel was exercising her right to self defence. israel will continue to exercise her right to self defence and will use all means to defend herself. lebanon has declared war on israel.
13. To 12 Attack on Lebanon
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (03.15.14)
You made mutually conflicting statements: "israel did not attack lebanon this year. israel took out missile shipments headed from syria to iran's proxy hezbollah. " You bombed Lebanese people inside Lebanon, Hence an attack on Lebanon.

CJK   (03.16.14)
"headed from syria" you need to learn to read and stop to lie. israel did not bomb lebanese people. israel bombed weapons shipments to iran's proxy hezbollah, as is her right to do.
15. Going by that logic there are no civilians" in Lebanon
Conroy ,   Toronto   (03.16.14)
So now that Lebanon has declared any civilian can attack Israel, Israel can target ANYONE in Lebanon and not be accused as harming innocent civilians - because there are none! They're all part of the Lebanese military!! The next step for Lebanon is to pass out the rifles and tanks for every Lebanese man, woman and child!! Go on, knock yourself out - Israel will still whip your a...s!

Interesting bit of semantics. You start out with a false premise and then add falsehood upon falsehood to prove a nonexistent point. You're just building more and more WASAs, aren't you? Do you remember what happened to the first one? Well, the ones you are building are faring no better. I can attack each and every one of your points, but I especially like your second one. Did you know that any time Israel has found itself embroiled in a war, not only have dual citizens remained put in Israel, but those Israelis that live abroad have come home on the first flights they can board? So much for your emigration theory. Kind of shot your point at No. 4 all to hell, didn't I? Yeah. I did. Keep building those WASAs, Bertie boy. Kind of fun to watch them sink under their own weight!

Had Israel not intervened in Lebanon in 1982, there would not be a single Christian left in all of Lebanon. You are conveniently forgetting that the Christian community of Lebanon was under siege. Had we left the situation alone, you'd be busy blaming Israel for sitting back and doing nothing while the Christian community of Lebanon was exterminated in its entirety. You just like having things both ways, don't you? You refuse to acknowledge the truth -- that Moslems murdered in cold blood well over one million Lebanese Christians. And that although the rest of the world cheerfully went about its business and ignored the carnage in Lebanon, Israel actually did something to stop it. You're a fraud and a phony, Mark. Debate that, why don't you?

Well, it isn't Netanyahu or any Israeli politician that lives in a bunker thirty feet underground, is it? Next time around, Israel won't worry too much about collateral damage. The devastation that Israel wrought in Lebanon will be tripled or quadrupled what it was the last time. How self-satisfied will you feel then? Do you doubt Israel's strength? You shouldn't. Do you doubt Israel's reach? You shouldn't. Just look what we've done to Iran, without firing a single shot. Lebanon's a piece of cake by comparison. Wouldn't even have to travel; all of Lebanon is easily within Israel's reach. Might want to contemplate how decent we are that we have yet to invoke our strength. The operative word here, chico, is "yet." Do keep that in mind.

So what? Do you have any idea how many Iraqi and Afghani civilians died as a result of NATO bombardment? Yet, to hear the current American administration tell, they weren't waging war on Iraq or Afghanistan, merely upon "insurgents." So, how do you explain away all those civilian dead in Afghanistan and Iraq? Hmm? But Hezbollah has declared war against Israel, and Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese government, and no government official has disavowed Hezbollah's statements. So, I guess Israel's actions in Lebanon are justified. Lebanon did, after all, declare war against Israel. Right?
