Unlike the private sector, government employees cannot be fired whether for bad performance or because there is no money; their salaries always increase, inevitably a large proportion are preoccupied with gaming the system rather than doing their job and their loyalty lies with their union not with their customers or their boss. Worst, since they are paid by our taxes, a large government sector leads to higher taxes, the main reason for poverty.

Unless of course an anonymous witness like "alef" accuses you of rape and you're convicted and sent to prison in a secret trial. Otherwise, Israel is a fine-working democracy.

We shall be witnessing increasing delegitimization attempts at present govt. in step with the blessed failure of the "Peace Talks"!

in Israel, and see how many accusations of rape you get a year, just because you upset someone, deny them a raise or a day off. our democracy is not the problem problem, it capitalism! why do the work yourself, when you can pay someone else to do it with someone else's money!!!!!

Every MK has a hired outsider who is being PAID to do most of the work.

and the whole world. The people who control the money have the power. All politicians are just puppets on a stage.

It is very difficult to say who controls the Israerli government when the country is made of 120 parties. Each party has a different opinion about just one subject.

All this outsourcing is probably a "work around" total incompetence in the govt. Govt. jobs are usually characterized by low pay and job security which predicates the "peter principle" (google it). The govt. must revive its own civilian work force by making jobs more competitive and getting rid of job security.

In other words jobs for the party faithful, sinecures for the rank and file , and more nephews and refuse in government bureaucracies.
