Avraham ,   Netivot area   (03.26.14)
Kerry go home & leave us alone, you are clueless & have already caused way too much damage here. We will not commit mass suicide just to please you, your boss & the world. AM YISRAEL CHAI V'KAYIAM!
3. Salvage "negotiations?!
yosef, phd ,   florida - israel   (03.26.14)
...The moronic egomania of the hapless Kerry, serving moronic egomania of the worst pres. in history of the once great U.S. Don't they understand that their game is up - Israel is just not going to sign suicidal "agreements." Obama, you have been outmaneuvered by all recent world leaders, and in your impotent rage you are trying to impose sanctions on Putin, who could not care less and was running circles around you for a while both in the M.E. and Ukraina. Stop now, before even more damage is caused to once a superpower.
4. negotiations cannot be salvages any time soon.
CJK   (03.26.14)
obama/kerry must look on a map to start getting an understanding of this new century, by the way obama, dowill they support you if they your supporters still support you? will these supporters still support you when they find out that you forced people to sign up for obama healthcare plan? ; will these supporters still support you when they finally realise that you are a total midiocrity? will they support you when they finally understand that they have been deceieved on all point and and that their muslim unity is a farce?
5. Message to Abbas
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (03.26.14)
Its said that Abbas is being bombarded from all spectrums of Palestinian opinion that is making him prevaricate From young Abbas who believes all Palestinians should sell their identities to become Israelis or vice verca to those who want Palestinians to remain in a state of war in perpetuity to some who want to create a fanatical Islamic State The MAJORITY demands are simple. A State of Palestine in the West Bank with Ramallah the State Capital and Jerusalem Al Quds based around East Jerusalem as the Spiritual Capital. We want to permanently end the state of confrontation with Israel and promote cultural economic and educational ties. We want to work together to establish full water and power supplies and promote Palestinian employment in Israel We want a Free Trade Agreement with Israel and the rest of the Arab world We want comprehensive compensation to Palestinian refugees for both loss of assets in Israel but who choose not to return to Palestine plus the cost of resettlement in Palestine for those who do As for borders we start from the premise of AREA. So long as we secure an AREA of land equivalent to Pre 67 OR GREATER as a result of land purchases from Jordan and Israel where and which Settlements go or don't go becomes secondary. Some will be transferred to Palestine others will be traded but the TOTAL AREA must not be compromised As for Jewish Settlers remaining in Palestine its fraught with problems They are Israeli citizens and we must put the interests of Palestinians FIRST before we can accept Jewish Settlers into a new Palestine
6. Excruciatingly predictable outcome
Steve   (03.26.14)
Abbas refusal to discuss recognition of Israel as Jewish state is a deal breaker. Intransigence with regards to land and population exchanges are understandable, however Israel's #1 demand for recognition is a freebie, it will show tremendous good faith and in actuality costs the PA nothing. The fact that Abbas is so adamant is revealing of the fact that there will be no peace. At any rate Gaza will strike immediately and the PA will be overpowered by Hamas shortly after consolidation so in a sense all this posturing almost does not matter.
