Rabbis and religion are to blame for the lack of resistance to Nazis among the majority of the six millions. This shame cannot be erased, so there is no purpose for rabbis to participate in Holocaust memorials.

How would you explain that there were hundreds of thousands of soldiers who were prisoners of war in both Europe and Asia. Tens of thousands of soldiers starved to death or died from torture at the hands of the Japs, Germans or Russians. They weren't following any Rabbis. The 'camps' murdered six million Jews and seven million non-Jews. Were the non-Jews following Rabbis?

When it says Israel is a nation that dwells alone, it means we are outside of the zeitgeist because we cleave to the Law of G-d, in spite of those around who may be wrong. At the same time 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' The Holocaust took place during the highest level of intermarriage and assimilation in our history. As they said German [Reform] Jews more German than the Germans.
