1. oy vey !
Twice blessed   (03.27.14)
3 cheers to Israel
2. even on base their room their things let them be!
hetero granny   (03.28.14)
The IDF supports ALL of its soldiers and so in this case the Rasar should apologize...and even if he does he should be brought up on charges.
3. Oh No, the Master Sargent yelled at me!!
Elan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (03.28.14)
That was the funniest thing I've heard today! thank you! On the topic of the LGBT Flag, I dunno, the M.Sargent was out of line, but was properly stuck with his initial over-reaction as to not appear to give in to his subordinates! basically, EGO!
4. Raise a banner for our destruction.
Moshe ,   Israel   (03.28.14)
It represents something that the Torah forbids. What other English words can we change the meaning of? There is gay, pride, choice......
5. first, i think it's disgusting
pinchas ,   boston   (03.28.14)
that israel has such a liberal army and allows all this LGBT crappola. second, a question: WHY are so many young israeli jewish men and women gay? i'm puzzled and i would like to know the causes.
6. A private matter, not to be pushed into everyone's face
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay   (03.28.14)
7. Aw, come on! The flag's in the guy's room!
manicdrummer ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.28.14)
Is the IDF so homophobic that they make such a big deal over a pretty rainbow flag? In the US, which has only recently lifted the ban on gays in the US Armed Forces, straight guys and girls hang adult magazine centerfolds on their walls and nobody gives it a second thought. Grow up!
8. The Army Of Israel Must Remain Holy
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (03.28.14)
Just like the nation of Israel as a whole. In my day, not even the non-religious soldiers would have dared fly the abomination flag. That must be the IDF's policy.
9. PC Idiocy
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (03.28.14)
Stick whatever you want wherever you want, but an army base is not the place for propaganda, gay or otherwise.
10. no malicious intent, my foot
Mark ,   London   (03.28.14)
Something like this would not be said if there were no malicious intent. However, it looks as if it has been properly dealt with. My guess is that those brought up in a conservative household are disadvantaged by a very limited view of life.
11. only one question
(03.28.14)
Does the IDF allow soldiers to hang photograhs of naked women in the barracks like #7 says they do in the US? If these are prohibited, so is the Gay flag. If these are allowed, there is no reason not to allow the Gay flag also.
