Since the ongoing negotiations are "completely unlinked" to the release of "Palestinian" murderers and terrorists in Israeli prisons, why not just continue the negotiations and leave the murderers and terrorists in prison? If they're not linked ... prove it.

the obama regime has managed to extort from israel the release of hundreds of convicted mass murdering terrorists. however, even israel has red lines, a concept which is foreign to the obama regime.

"Palestinian" egos are running high on steroids. Time to take them down a peg or two. They don't set deadlines, and they do not issue ultimatums. Otherwise, Israel should simply shut down the whole process, annex Judea and Samaria, repatriate all Jordanian illegals to Jordan and tell the "Palestinians" that they are plumb out of options. Let them go to the United Nations. The U.N. is a joke, especially after the Crimea debacle. What's the United Nations going to do? Force Israel to restore Judea and Samaria to nonsovereign status? How, pray tell, are they going to do that?

This is going nowhere. Stop the process. Make demands of the PA. This is what needs to take place or be done with it. Let them go back to Amman. Who cares what the rest of the world says. Afterall, the world has never been kind to Jews. UN is useless. Do what is best for Israel and the Jewish people, period. do it in a considerate way, but never compromise on principal. Israel should never have allowed Muslims to retain control Temple Mount in 67. Its time to end that now and allow Jews access to the Holy of Holies.

PA must follow "two tracks", after May 1st, 2014... 1..Continuous "Peace Talks", with no conditions, don't stop, no matter what. 2..Join international bodies, May 1st, to stop settlements, establish '67 borders, secure NATO protection, establish right of return, and war reparations, and release of all prisoners. Prisoner release must come last. Israel may quit talks, and be blamed, or Israel may Annex Area C, and be blamed. PA must enter permanent peace talks, while simultaneously seeking redress in international bodies.

In fact, Abbas should be made to join Barghouti and Saadat behind bars, where that arch terrorist belongs.

The most powerful man in the world is Abbas, the man who is unofficial president ( elections were supposed to be held 3 years ago ) of a non existent state but he is able to give ultimatums to the president of the United States who is supposed to be most powerful man in the world. No other leader in the world would dare give Obama a 24 hour ultimatum but the nobody Abbas does and Obama & Kerry listen and put the squeeze on Bibi to do as Abbas tells him to do. The worst thing that was ever done was giving Abbas his UN upgrade its turned him from the so called moderate to an arab dictator who is even more hardline than Arafat. Abbas needs Bargouti to make himself a hero to ruin any chances of Mohammed Dahlan from running for the presidency of the PA and when Abbas does decide to step down Bargouti will walk any elections so Dahlan won't stand a chance and unlike Dahlan Bargouti is a hardliner that won't make concessions to Israel.

This isn't Bibis fault its Obama & Kerry. Israel needs the US for everything from weapons - support in the UN and so Obama knows he can bully Bibi. Obama wants his legacy, Kerry wants to be next president so he wants an achievement to boast about on election day so he wants a deal no matter how bad. Abbas isn't afraid of standing up to the US and Obama & Kerry know they need to keep Abbas sweet if they want their prizes because they can't bully him.
