Abbas has not delivered on peace talks face to face and therefore the retention of pal prisoners is contingent. The palestinians want UN moves not peace moves. If the palestinians snub the US it should withdraw its support completely and release Pollard to Israel all the same as an example of the benefits of being a serious interlocutor of peace negotiations rather than aggressive anti peace moves.

If the PA "goes to the UN" or partakes of any other anti Israel act ,Israel should shut off all "to and fro" of goods (except medical and food stuffs) into Judea and Samaria occupied illegally by the so-called Pal;estinian Authority. Israel should not just sit like dumb lumps on a log.

More than a month ago the PA spokesman said that Abbas was waiting on the release (scheduled of 29 March) before going to UN agencies. The 29th passed, and he is going. There is no surprise in this action, only that Israel did not let convicted criminals go before it happened.
